HSNBA is hosting Meet your Match 6/19-6/20! That means adoption fees on all ready-to-go animals are waived! Please contact them at 830-629-5287 or email adoption@hsnba.org for more information. To see more animals go to hsnba.org! Thank you for opting to adopt!I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basicsHSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

Story
We’ve picked the sweetest name for the sweetest girl! Meet Winnie! This long-nosed low-rider came back to SNIPSA after being returned by her previous owner. Sadly, she wasn’t the best fit for a life on the road, and she is searching for a place where she can keep all four paws on the ground. Winnie is the ultimate Corgi/Basset blend, matching her unique cuteness with a bashful, loving personality. Safe to say, she’s got the adorable long-and-low look down to a science! Winnie isn’t a demanding dog (although we know you can’t look away for long), but she rolls right over for your belly rubs. Additionally, she brings a quiet, balanced energy to every pack setting. While she isn’t much of a rough-and-tumbler, her sweet submission and easygoing nature allow her to get along with other pets of all sizes. Winnie has also been to boarding school and, aside from having perfect manners, is also e-collar trained! She is the ideal starter dog or would make a fantastic emotional support dog for a single owner. That said, she has plenty of love to offer to a bigger family. Will you be the one to give Winnie a home… her forever home? Apply today!

Story
Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Bruno — the best of both worlds wrapped up in one adorable, wiggly package! Bruno is a 4-year-old, 30-pound Corgi mix with the classic Corgi body (short legs, sturdy build, and that irresistible wiggle) — but with a unique face that makes him truly one of a kind. And when we say wiggle, we mean it… his whole body gets in on the action! Add in his constantly wagging little nub tail, and you’ve got a dog who wears his happiness on his sleeve. Bruno absolutely loves people of all sizes. Whether it’s kids, adults, or anyone willing to give him a little attention, he’s all in — soaking up pets and dishing out affection in return. He’s the kind of dog who will greet you like you’re the best part of his day, every single time. We believe Bruno may have spent much of his life as an outdoor dog, so he’s still learning the ropes when it comes to house training. The good news? He’s already making great progress! He uses the dog door during the day to go in and out, and he does excellent in his kennel at night. With a little patience and consistency, he’s going to catch on quickly. Bruno does well with other dogs overall, but he does not do well with unaltered male dogs, so he’ll do best in a home that can accommodate that preference. If you’re looking for a happy, people-loving pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Bruno is ready to wiggle his way right into your life. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $150. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX.
