Story
Hi there! My name is Chico. I may be small, but my heart is huge! Here is a little info about me: Breed: Shih Tzu / MalteseAge: 9 monthsGender: MaleSize: 5 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: playful, intelligent, calm, affectionate Life didn’t start easy for me — I was born in a barn, and sadly, my mom and siblings didn’t make it. But one kind human rescued me from that place and gave me a second chance at life. Since then, I’ve been living in a boarding facility with other dogs, learning to play, share, and love while waiting patiently for my forever home.  A little more about me: Neutered, healthy, and full of energy. Potty-trained — I go outside and sometimes use a pad indoors. Walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides. I get along wonderfully with everyone — women, men, kids, dogs (big and small), and even cats! I don’t chew things I shouldn’t, and I’m not overly barky. I’m used to traveling in a crate and don’t have separation anxiety. I’m sweet, social, and always smiling — a cheerful little companion who’ll brighten every day.  Could you be the one to give me the happy ending I’ve been waiting for?  Energy Level: High puppy energy I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: yes. Rescuer states yes, but no video proof Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $350. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2575473##

Story
Hi beautiful people! I've been waiting for you! My name is Pudding, and here is a little bit about me:Breed: Shih Tzu-TerrierAge: 1 yearGender: MaleWeight: 6 kgHeight: TBDCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Social, Gentle, Affectionate, Easy-going I was found in the yard of an empty villa, far outside the city. The house was silent, the gates were closed, and no one came back for me. I waited there for a long time, not knowing where the people had gone or why I was left behind. There wasn’t much food, and at night it was cold. I learned to be quiet and patient, hoping that one day someone would notice me. Even then, I never stopped believing that kindness still existed. When the rescuers finally came, I stepped forward gently. I wasn’t angry or afraid — I was ready. Ready to leave the empty yard behind and start again. Now I’m safe. I have food, warmth, and people who care. I’m learning what it feels like to be loved, and I’m doing my best to trust again. All I’m waiting for now is a forever home — a place where I’ll never be left alone, and where my story truly begins. Would that be with you? Energy level: ModerateI get along with:•    Dogs: Yes•    Cats: Unknown (Rescuer says yes but no video proof)•    Kids: Unknown (Rescuer says yes but no video proof)Fears: None observed. Story
Hi, I’m Bruno and If you want a dog who will greet you with joy and make you smile every day, I’m ready.  Breed: Bichon Frise Age: 7.5 years Gender: Male     Weight: 17 lb    Height: 32 inches I get along with: Dogs but I don't know about cats or kids Fears: Non observed . Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training. House trained: Yes 90% Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fee: $800.00 CAD + taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Highlight(s): affectionate, social, gentle, calm About Me - I’m a cheerful, affectionate Bichon Frise who loves people with my whole heart. I’m calm, confident, and affectionate I’m gentle, trusting, and very comfortable around humans I’m extremely social and have a bright, happy personality. I love attention and human company—I’ll happily let strangers hug me, pick me up, and rub my belly. I’m not shy at all, and I truly enjoy being around people. I’m great with other dogs, too. I currently live peacefully with more than 10 small- to medium-sized dogs. I like to say hello to new friends, no matter their size, but after a brief greeting, I’m content doing my own thing. At parks, I enjoy running on my own rather than roughhousing—I’m confident and independent, but still very loving. Don't let my age fool you, I have a good amount of energy and I love going on walks and exploring outdoors but once I’m home, I settle down nicely. The couch is my favorite place to relax. I walk well on leash, follow my handler closely, and I’m not afraid of city noises or busy environments. I’m also excellent at getting in and out of the car and never get carsick.  I’m not very interested in toys, but I’m very interested in you. I rarely bark (only sometimes to ask for something), don’t try to escape, and haven’t shown any signs of separation anxiety. I have no aggression, andn no resource guarding toward people or dogs. I haven’t met cats yet, so that part of my story is still unwritten. My Story - I was taken to a shelter on September 22nd by my family. I know they loved me but for some reason they couldn't keep me but they did teach me how to love. I've been waiting for over two months in a kill shelter while others younger dogs were chosen but finally, on November 8th, I was given my chance to leave the shelter and start fresh in a foster home. I’ve been waiting patiently for someone to see me for who I am. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your days and rest happily by your side, I’m here—and I can’t wait to meet you. Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fee: $800.00 CAD + taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.
