LIFE IS A GAME FOR MACY!  DOB 10/13/24, weight 35 lbs. Meet Macy!! This gorgeous, fun-loving, long-legged, dark-haired beauty was found as a stray on the street, cowering under bushes, trying to stay cool during the hot Houston summer.  In her foster home, she is sweet, energetic, and loves snuggling with her humans (she’s a lap-dog wanna-be, and she’ll sleep on the bed if allowed).  She is also part of a pack of six dogs - two puppies, two middle-aged and one geriatric dog – and she gets along great with everyone.  Macy frequently initiates play with her canine foster siblings, resting and playing again. Macy’s current favorite toy is a wooden stick from the backyard, but she also enjoys fuzzy and noise-making toys, as well as bones and antlers. She likes to fetch, sometimes to return the toy and sometimes to play hard-to-get. Life is a game to Macy! Macy rides well in the car, is very food- and treat-motivated, and is learning to "sit pretty" and other obedience commands. Macy’s ideal home would have a playful pup companion or perhaps some children and a dog door to a big fenced-in back yard. Ruger has been through a lot, but you’d never know it from his happy spirit! This sweet boy came to us after being hit by a car and injuring his front left leg (multiple fractures of the midshaft). His leg has since been stabilized and splinted, and he’s healing with lots of love and care. He also carries some old scars down his back, but they don’t hold him back one bit - if anything, they show just how resilient he is.Despite everything, Ruger is as friendly and affectionate as they come. He gets so excited when he sees someone stop by his kennel and loves soaking up attention and pets. He’s also very treat motivated, sits politely on command, and takes his treats gently from your hand. While he’s still on the mend, Ruger’s playful side is already shining through. He perks up at the sound of squeaky toys and is eager to play.Ruger is the perfect mix of sweet, brave, and fun. All he needs now is a loving home where he can finish healing and get the second chance he so deserves.

Hello, my name is Nixxy. You must see my beautiful black shiny coat in person! I am an energetic girl who loves to play with my foster fur siblings but I really love my humans. I prefer to be a lap dog but my foster mom keeps telling me I am too big. She still lets me sit on her lap, though.. I will do best in a home with a yard. I am in a home with both dogs and cats and I do great with both as long as they like to play. My adoption fee is $200. .  It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip.
