⨠UPDATE!! ⨠MEET JUPITER! If you love those short legs, long bodies and chunky little Doxie builds, Jupiter may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for! Jupiter is a sweet Dachshund mix around 2 years old and 26 lbs. who was saved from a local shelter and is now ready to find the family she deserves. She has that adorable standard Doxie-style build—short, chunky and long—and an equally lovable personality to go with it! â¤ï¸ Jupiter is a sweet, calm girl who does well with both dogs AND cats. She even does great at doggy daycare! She would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a more laid-back girl who can still enjoy having four-legged friends around. She’s already been through the shelter and rescue chapter of her story. Now we’d love for the next chapter to be the one where Jupiter finally gets to go HOME. Jupiter is UTD, HW tested, spayed and ready for her forever family! ⨠DON’T LET THIS SWEET, SHORT-LEGGED GIRL GET OVERLOOKED! ⨠If Jupiter sounds like the missing piece in your family, get your application in! And if you can’t adopt, PLEASE SHARE—her forever family may be waiting to see her! â¤ï¸ Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, etc. can lead to accidents even with the most well-trained animals. All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age-appropriate shots (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if at least 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue standpoint it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering; it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquiries and applications!
