Story
Landry Spayed Female 1 year old 15lbs Some might say Landry’s sister Lola got the looks in the family (WE would never say that!) - but if that’s the case, then this little cupcake got ALLLLLL the personality! She’s just the sweetest, silliest nugget! She was purchased out of the back of a pickup truck in a Walmart parking lot with her sister Lola when they were just babies (Alabama, am I right?!). Then ten months later they were dropped at the pound because their people were evicted. Now both girls are ready to settle in to permanent homes once and for all! Landry is playful, silly, a little shy to start, but warms up quickly. She’s good with people and other animals, and will definitely be an amazing BFF!

Story
Archie is a purebred tri merle dachshund, around 9 years old. Archie is crate trained but not house trained. He is extremely friendly and loves pets and belly rubs from all. Great with kids and other dogs. Loves his toys and chasing tennis balls. Loves to get outside and run. Loves giving kisses and snuggling at all times. Best napping buddy. Overall a fantastic dog and would be a great addition to any home. I love him dearly but unfortunately my schedule no longer gives him the attention/time he requires and deserves.

Story
UPDATE!! Meet Tammy! This sweet girl and her brother were saved from a local overcrowded shelter. They look like adorable dachshund/heeler/terrier mixes. They are around 12ish weeks and 9 lbs. They are sweet and spunky. Playful and love all people and animals. They will be altered next week and then be ready for their forever homes. Get your apps in now— we are reserving them to the perfect families!   Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
