Story
🐾 Meet Alex 🐾 Age: 1 year Breed: Dachshund mix Weight: 19.8 lbs Alex is proof that sometimes the dogs who take a little extra time to bloom end up loving the biggest. When Alex first came into rescue, the world felt like a scary place. Today, he's a completely different dog. He now settles into a new environment within a day or two and quickly starts feeling at home. The best part about Alex? He picks one person and loves them with everything he has. Once you've earned his trust, you'll have a little shadow following you from room to room. If you're looking for a dog that forms an incredibly deep bond with their person, Alex is your guy. Alex is a gentle soul. Even when he's unsure, he has never responded with aggression or fear biting. He's simply the kind of dog who likes to observe first and then decides you're a friend. He's potty trained, crate trained, and uses a dog door like a pro. He enjoys spending time outside, loves to run and explore, and is just as happy relaxing near his favorite human afterward. Alex is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores puppies. While having another friendly dog would certainly be a bonus for him, he's equally happy soaking up all of your attention as an only dog. A secure physical fenced yard is important for Alex so he can safely enjoy one of his favorite things—being outside. If you've ever wanted a dog that chooses you as their person and loves with his whole heart, Alex is waiting to meet you. ❤️ 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption. 👉 To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog Please note: The dog you’re applying for may already have a meet-and-greet scheduled or have been offered to another rescue within our network. Story
Meet Tater! 🐾 Tater is a 3.5-year-old, 16 lb bundle of personality looking for his forever family! This sweet little guy has come a long way and continues to impress everyone he meets. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, and doing wonderfully with his leash skills. Best of all, he has officially graduated from the puppy chaos stage and is ready to settle into a home of his own. Tater gets along great with other dogs and transitions into new environments like a pro, but he would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. He loves respectful kids and has a gentle, affectionate nature that makes him an amazing companion. If you're looking for a dog that wants to be your little shadow, Tater is your guy. He loves cuddles, follows his people around, and isn't shy about asking for more pets—usually by gently nudging his head into your chest when you stop. His favorite place is wherever his humans are. Tater is the perfect mix of playful, loving, and easygoing. He may have once been known as "Tater the Turd," but those days are long behind him. These days, he's simply Tater—a wonderful little dog ready to find his forever best friend. Tater at a Glance: 🐾 3.5 years old 🐾 16 lbs 🐾 Potty trained

Story
Pebbles — a tender-hearted girl learning that love is safe 💕 Pebbles is a beautiful brindle sweetheart who may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her time and patience and you’ll discover just how loving and devoted she truly is. Coming from a hoarding situation, Pebbles has had a tough start in life, but she’s already showing how resilient and gentle her spirit is. Once she trusts you, she bonds deeply with her caretakers and blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to feel safe and loved. Pebbles does well with other dogs but would prefer a home without cats or chickens where she can feel secure and continue building her confidence. With a patient family willing to go at her pace, Pebbles will reward them with quiet companionship, sweet moments, and a bond that feels incredibly special.
