Story
🐾 BISCUIT 🐾 4-year-old Dachshund Mix | 17 lbs A loyal little companion looking for his person. 🧩 At a Glance Age: 4 years Weight: 17 lbs Breed: Dachshund Mix Energy Level: Low Motivation: Food 💛 Who Biscuit Is Biscuit is a calm, steady little dog who thrives in a low-key environment and forms strong, lasting bonds with his people. He appreciates predictable routines and a peaceful home, and once he’s connected to you, he becomes a deeply loyal and devoted companion. He has a clear preference for men and tends to form his strongest bond with a male person, though he does well with women too. 🏠 Training & Habits Potty trained: ✅ Yes Crate trained: ✅ Yes Uses his crate as his safe space Self-regulates well and will put himself in his crate when he needs quiet time Responds to “crate” / “kennel” 🐶 With Other Dogs Biscuit loves other dogs and is very much the lowest on the totem pole. He shows affection through enthusiastic face licking, which not all dogs enjoy. The good news: this behavior is very correctable — he respects human redirection well and responds when a person steps in to say it’s time to give space. Because of his affectionate style, he would do best with: A tolerant dog who doesn’t mind his friendliness Possibly a dog his own size once comfortable He is still learning canine social cues and isn’t quite fluent in “dude, get out of my face.” 🦮 Leash & Containment Leash: ❌ Very fearful — not leash-ready Door dasher: ⚠️ Yes, especially to reach his favorite person Has attempted to climb a 3-foot chain link fence to reach his foster dad ➡️ Secure physical fence required (taller than 3 feet recommended) 🚗 Car Rides Car rides make him nervous. He prefers to sit in a lap for comfort. 🏡 Ideal Home Quiet, low-chaos household Male adopter preferred or someone open to a strong one-on-one bond Secure fenced yard 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Meet Frank the Tank 🐾 At 14 years young, this 10 lb mini dachshund is proof that age is just a number. Frank is a total lovebug who’s mastered the art of being the perfect companion. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, enjoys people of all kinds, and does well with respectful kids. He’s potty trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and—bonus—he’s your shadow 24/7. He’s dedicated and affectionate… a rare combo 😉. Don’t let his age fool you—Frank still gets the zoomies and genuinely enjoys life. He’s happy, content, and just looking for a soft place to land (preferably a very cozy bed). Now let’s be real for a second—he is a dachshund, so we need a home that understands the breed. That means being mindful of his back. Dachshunds are prone to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), so no jumping on or off furniture. Ramps, steps, and a little awareness go a long way in keeping him feeling good. What Frank wants is simple: A calm home, a soft bed, and a person who’s around more often than not. Someone who appreciates a slower pace, a loyal shadow, and the occasional burst of zoomies. Ready for the best retirement buddy you didn’t know you needed? Frank the Tank is waiting. 🖤 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/ neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Meet Tater the Turd! Yes… he earned that name honestly. But once you meet him, you’ll quickly realize this little guy is more lovable rascal than troublemaker. Tater is a 3.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix weighing about 16 pounds. He’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. While he enjoys running around the yard with other dogs, he’s not much of a toy guy — he’d much rather curl up on the couch and relax with his people. Tater is crate trained, potty trained, and learning to walk nicely on a leash. He rides well in the car but prefers to sit close to someone so he can feel safe and secure. Because Tater can be a little nervous in new environments, he will need a secure privacy fence. A chain-link fence likely wouldn’t be the best option, as he has been known to try to make a great escape if he gets scared (hence the name!). The good news is that in the right home, Tater settles in nicely. He is good with other dogs and does well with kids, and he really enjoys having dog friends to run around the yard with. Tater is also very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and bonding time with his new family. If you’re looking for a fun little character with a goofy personality and a love for couch time, Tater might just be your perfect match. Story
Pebbles — a tender-hearted girl learning that love is safe 💕 Pebbles is a beautiful brindle sweetheart who may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her time and patience and you’ll discover just how loving and devoted she truly is. Coming from a hoarding situation, Pebbles has had a tough start in life, but she’s already showing how resilient and gentle her spirit is. Once she trusts you, she bonds deeply with her caretakers and blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to feel safe and loved. Pebbles does well with other dogs but would prefer a home without cats or chickens where she can feel secure and continue building her confidence. With a patient family willing to go at her pace, Pebbles will reward them with quiet companionship, sweet moments, and a bond that feels incredibly special.
