She LOVES other dogs—playing, cuddling, snuggling—you name it—but prefers pals her size. Candy dances when she begs, loves to be held like a baby, and will snuggle in the bend of your legs or behind your back. She’ll happily follow you around and be your shadow no matter what you do! She’s food motivated, crate-trained (her safe space!), potty and dog door trained, and a total lap baby once she trusts you. Candy is shy with new people due to missed socialization, so she needs a patient, loving family willing to give her time. Max is 1–2 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. He’s a Dachshund with an old-soul personality. Even though he’s young, he’s gentle, easygoing, and just wants to be someone’s cuddle buddy. Good Boy Facts: Crate trained (and will not potty in his crate) Sometimes has tiny happy pees when excited — it’s his way of showing love Loves bath time Enjoys toys and even dressing up LOVES to cuddle under blankets with his little head peeking out Big fan of belly rubs and giving kisses Max would do best in a home with a calmer dog companion, but he fits in easily just about anywhere. Meet Riggs – the Tiny Gentleman with Big Feelings 🐾 Let’s just get this out of the way: the meet and greet? Yeah… it’s gonna be awkward. For you. For him. Possibly for everyone within a 10-foot radius. Riggs (3 years old, 14 lbs, certified chiweenie mix of mystery) is the type of guy who needs a little time to read the room. Loud noises, fast movements, or brand-new people? Hard pass. But once he decides you’re safe, it’s like flipping a switch — suddenly you’ve got a snuggle buddy, lap-warmer, and zoomie machine all rolled into one low-riding, big-hearted package. He loves being petted by his people, curling up into a perfect little ball for naps, and doing the occasional sploot just to remind you how cute he is. He’s good with other dogs once he knows them — especially if they’re closer to his size — and finds comfort in having a canine buddy around. Now, let’s talk honesty: Riggs is a nervous peer (the kind of guy who lets his emotions… out). He may also offer a tiny “don’t touch me” nip if he’s extremely scared. He’s not a bad boy — just a guy who’s been through some stuff and needs gentle handling and patience. He’s crate trained (sometimes uses it as his safe space), potty trained (unless startled), and learning the leash game like a champ. He’s food motivated and making progress every day. Riggs’ perfect home? 👉 A quiet environment with adults or older, calm kids 👉 A securely fenced yard (he’s a door dasher if spooked) 👉 A small, confident dog friend to show him the ropes 👉 A human who understands that the best things in life sometimes take a little time He may never be the life of the party — but once you’re “his person,” you’ll be the center of his world. So yes, the first meeting will probably be weird.
