Story
Looks like: Dachshund Mix Female, 13 years old, 15 pounds Sweet and spirited, Myra is eager to be your next best furry friend! Myra is a 13-year-old Dachshund Mix. Although she is considered a senior, Myra romps around with dogs half her age, showing that age is just a number! She also loves going for walks or casually running around the yard. Myra loves humans that she knows and trusts. Since she can be shy at first when meeting new people, it may take Myra a little bit of time to warm up to strangers. However, once she gets to know you, she will drench you with kisses and stare at you with sweet eyes! Myra is just as much of a travel buddy as a home companion. When you're heading out for errands or adventures by car, Myra will cheerfully ride along in the backseat staring out the window. However, she doesn't like to be left behind when you stop, and her cries will let you know she's still there! While she plays around like a younger dog, Myra does have kidney disease that is managed through IV fluids, medication, and a special diet. Myra is searching for a home without small children. Miss Myra came to us from the SPCA of Monterey County. She was brought there after her guardian passed away.

Story
Looks like: Dachshund / Chihuahua mix Female, 9 years old (estimated), 17 pounds With this Cherie on top, every day is like a Sundae! This sweet and soft Lady is all about belly rubs and will dole out kisses in exchange for continued petting. If that does not get your attention, she will wiggle and flip flop around until she can no longer be ignored. She is great with other dogs and politely sniffs and greets others when out and about. She also enjoys the company of well-mannered children, but we don't know how she would behave around cats yet. At home she loves to snoop around the yard and to take naps in a comfy spot. Otherwise, she keeps herself busy, frequently checking the kitchen for food, treats, or any snacks that may accidentally hit the floor. At her foster home, this social butterfly does not spend much time alone and she certainly prefers to have human company for much of the day, but she is also fine staying by herself now and then. She is generally very quiet and will make soft noises politely requesting more belly rubs! Cherie loves to go on walks and will weave back and forth so that she does not miss out on anything there is to smell. She probably has not been on too many car rides in her life and, as of now, gets a bit nervous. This little miss is definitely ready to live the good life and go on lots adventures. She is happy and in good shape, besides some skin growths that need to be monitored. She has a history of sarcomas and her hearing is limited. Cherie came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. She needed some medical attention which we were able to provide through our vet clinic.

Story
Looks like: Dachshund mix Male, 10 years old (estimated), 16 pounds Have you ever met a dog whose tail just doesn't stop wagging? You will if you meet Orejas! This sweet little guy is ready to leap right into your home, heart, and lap! He enjoys smothering his people in kisses and showing off his excitement with his exuberant tail wags! Orejas gets along well with dogs both big and small, but he may prefer to be the only apple of his adoptive family's eyes. We don't know yet how he does around kitties or children. Orejas came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after his guardian was no longer able to provide him with the care that he needed.

Story
Buster is a very sweet and gentle young boy. At 19 lbs, this handsome guy is looking for a loving home of his own. Buster would love a home with a fenced yard to play and run in, and a comfy couch to snooze on. Buster would do well with gentle older children, and gets along with other dogs and cats. As a rescue dog, Buster tends to be shy with new people and would like a home with previous dog experience who is willing to give him the love and time he needs to bond, and feel safe in his new home. This sweet guy enjoys car rides, walks, lots of treats, a warm lap with lots of hugs and kisses and to hear what a good boy he is, because he really is, a very good boy. Buster does not do well in a crate, but if you are looking for a bed-buddy and don't mind that he likes to cuddle under the blankets, then this is your boy. Buster is Neutered.
