Story
Looks like: Dachshund Mix Female, 14 years old, 14 pounds Sweet and spirited, Myra is eager to be your next best furry friend! Myra is a 13-year-old Dachshund Mix. Although she is considered a senior, Myra romps around with dogs half her age, showing that age is just a number! She also loves going for walks or casually running around the yard. Myra loves humans that she knows and trusts. Since she can be shy at first when meeting new people, it may take Myra a little bit of time to warm up to strangers. However, once she gets to know you, she will drench you with kisses and stare at you with sweet eyes! Myra is just as much of a travel buddy as a home companion. When you're heading out for errands or adventures by car, Myra will cheerfully ride along in the backseat staring out the window. However, she doesn't like to be left behind when you stop, and her cries will let you know she's still there! While she plays around like a younger dog, Myra does have kidney disease that is managed through IV fluids, medication, and a special diet. Myra is searching for a home without small children. Miss Myra came to us from the SPCA of Monterey County. She was brought there after her guardian passed away.

Story
Looks like: Dachshund, Chihuahua mix Male, 12 years old (estimated), 11 pounds Introducing the one and only, the famous Amos! This irresistibly adorable little chap is poised to wiggle his way right into your home and your heart! Are you seeking a spirited sidekick for your adventures? Look no further than Amos! With his spritely energy and delightful tippy-toed trot, he's always up for exploring the world alongside you. Want to take a walk around the neighborhood? Amos would be happy to join - he's a gentleman on-leash. Movie marathon on the couch? Amos is your guy. Car ride to run some errands? Count Amos in! Amos is a true ambassador of canine camaraderie, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all shapes and sizes. From playful romps with a Saint Bernard to jovial encounters with other pups, his friendly nature shines through effortlessly. Meeting new people is a breeze for Amos, as he exudes warmth and friendliness towards everyone, from children to older adults. Though there are no children in his foster home, his gentle demeanor suggests he'd be welcoming to polite, younger members of a household. Amos is a true sweetheart who forms deep bonds with his humans. While he's a social butterfly with other dogs, his interactions with kitties remain a bit of a mystery. Having arrived from Stanislaus Animal Services after being found as a stray, Amos is now on the lookout for his forever home, where he can spread joy and warmth to his new family.

Story
Looks like: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix Male, 13 years old (estimated), 13 pounds Pepi is a happy, mostly confident little guy who's very favorite pastime is napping, closely followed by frolics in the yard or at the park, interspersed with plenty of pets and hind-quarter scratches. Although this little dude is vision-impaired, he walks well on leash, taking it slow and easy. He gets along well with other dogs that he meets at the park, mainly by ignoring them after the initial sniff test. When meeting new people, including children, he can be a little shy at first, but is always sweet and friendly. We don't know yet how he behaves around cats. At his foster home, he does not mind being home alone, but he also loves being out and about, eagerly hopping into the car, politely sharing the back seat with fellow canines as they all know it is time to head to the park. Pepi is hoping to find a quiet, loving household either with or without another dog. Due to his vision impairment, he can be cautious in new places and needs to be carried up and down flights of stairs. His ideal human would be a shuttle driver to the park, timely server of breakfast and dinner, massage therapist for cuddles and attention, room service personnel for fluffing up his cozy bed, and a generous treat dispenser. This sweet senior lad came to us from a shelter in Sacramento where he was on the red list for euthanasia.

Story
Looks like: Chiweenie Male, 8 years old (estimated), 8 pounds Bradley is a little man with a big heart looking for his happily ever after. Mister Bradley has a very easy going personality and enjoys a good snuggle with his human. Need a buddy to comfort you when you're down? Bradleys sweet face and attentive charm is sure to make you feel how loved you truly are. Bradley enjoys light strolls, constant praise, and catching annoying house flies that dare to disturb his peace and quiet. Though he is perfectly content coexisting with other dogs he would prefer his humans undivided attention. Having come from an unknown background, sweet Bradley is a work in progress and will benefit greatly from his humans patience, compassion, and willingness to help him regain his confidence and build trust. He may take a few days to come out of his shell, but in time you will find Bradley to be a great companion! Due to his independence, size, and shy demeanor we do not recommend a home with young kids and we do not know how he is around cats. This sweet boy joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was picked up as a stray.

Story
Henry is a little old man, but he’s young at heart!   Henry loves being spoiled, and thrives as the center of attention. His favorite activity is cuddling, followed closely by napping. (He likes to be carried and cradled like a baby!) Henry also enjoys sunning and relaxing with his foster family. This sweet, gentle boy is looking for a home that matches his low-key vibe.   Henry is blind and may also be deaf. He prefers to hang out in small, familiar spaces, like his crate or a playpen. Despite his impairments, Henry is house-trained! If he needs to potty outside, he will alert you with a quick bark.He now navigates his foster home's backyard with no trouble at all.  Henry even makes it through the night without a potty break!   Henry is part of a pack in his foster home, and would love a dog-sibling in his forever home. Most ideal family for him would be retired humans who have available laps for him to lay on!
