Once he trusts you, Lil John is incredibly sweet, loyal, and devoted. He forms strong bonds with his people, has a blast with his doggy friends and becomes the kind of companion who quietly sticks by your side through it all.Lil John was surrendered to the San Bernardino shelter as a tiny puppy. With no adoption interest he was pulled by rescue and eventually made his way to us. He’s spent his whole young life in rescue or shelter care and it’s time to find this sweet boy the family he’s been waiting for. He deserves a home and deserves to have the kind of love only a family can give. Once comfortable in a new environment Lil John is playful, and eager to explore the world around him. He would do best in a calm, quieter home with adults or older kids who can give him the space and time he needs to settle in and truly thrive. Lil John is looking for stability, someone who is ok with taking things slow and in return will give you his whole heart. I got that name because I have such a bright and loving personality even though I’m small and delicate I was surrendered to the rescue because as soon as I was no longer nursing my family thought that meant I didn’t need any time with my mom or Brother and they decided to get rid of me they said if my teeth were coming in, I could eat solid food on my own and fend for myself, but thankfully, my rescuer was willing to make space for me. I have such a sweet and friendly personality I get along with absolutely everyone I can be very verbal when I play but that’s because I get really excited when I’m not playing with other dogs or cats I want to cuddle. I do enjoy playing with other animals and toys, but people will always have my heart. I would make a great first dog for someone without experience because of my laid-back personality. I’m a very easy dog and I don’t have any bad habits. I passed my health evaluation with flying colors and now I am ready for a forever home of my own. When Frank arrived here, he was partially paralyzed. Unfortunately, after we took him to the vet, it was determined there were no surgical options that could help him. Since then, he has been on a special diet to get his weight down. He is also taking a daily medication to help him, and we are so happy to report it is really working. You can see more videos of this special-needs cutie on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area.
