Story
We adopted Gidget from the Kern county animal shelter in October of 2024. When we first met her, we could tell that she was a sweet, bubbly, and loving dog. She adjusted to our home quickly and made herself part of the family. She is a bit of an oddball at times, but is actually a smart dog. She learns tricks pretty fast and has developed her own little daily routine. She loves meeting strangers and other dogs. My wife and I recently had to move into a smaller apartment and are expecting our first child, so we do not feel like we can give her the attention that she deserves. We are just looking for a couple or family who can take care of her and love her as much as we do. She would thrive in a space where she has room to run around but could make do with some simple daily playtime. She went through six months of professional one-on-one dog training and now knows "place" (go to her bed), roll over, lay down, stay, stand, and is both clicker and crate trained. She is very trainable.
