Story
Genie is a shy, sweet mature doxie mix who came to rescue with her three housemates after losing their home and owner to a house fire. One thing that's apparent about all of these girlies is that they have been generously overfed! Genie is now in foster and on a weight reduction diet to hopefully improve her overall health and long-term lifestyle. She also has some other minor skin and eye issues that are being treated as well. Genie is easy going and wonderful. She is a gentle, laid back girl that loves belly rubs and the soft pillow on YOUR bed! She does well with other dogs that respect her space, after slow introduction. She currently uses doggie door and doing well with house training. If you're not ready to relax, DON'T start petting her silky fur! She is a little shy at first until you earn her trust, then you will have a shadow! She enjoys the company of her foster mom, but is definitely a daddies girl!

One thing that's apparent about all of these girlies is that they have been generously overfed! Trixie is now in foster and on a weight reduction diet to hopefully improve her overall health and long-term lifestyle. We are still learning about Trixie as she settles in to her foster home and we'll update information as we get it. Trixie possibly is the mama of her pack when she came in because let me tell you she does not put up with any foolishness from her foster brothers and sister and will quickly tell them the business. Trixie doesn't or hasn't found her favorite place yet. She likes the privacy of her crate, she'll sleep in the bed, she'll lay on the couch, and at the moment she is laying on the floor under the Christmas tree. However, one thing is for certain she will latch on to her person and won't leave their side.Cats? She shows little interest. Leash? She's ok.....once she learned what it was and for.Food? Her foster seen zero food aggression. Not interested in toys. Isn't doing well left alone. She'd really like someone who can be with her during the day. A work at home or retiree would be ideal.

One thing that's apparent about all of these girlies is that they have been generously overfed! Bandit is now in foster and on a weight reduction diet to hopefully improve her overall health and long-term lifestyle. Bandit is a bundle of love in a tiny (albeit overfed) body. She came to us petrified, unable to accept affection or even food, but in just a short amount of time has made incredible progress. She loves to cuddle, give gentle kisses, and follow her people around-checking in on them then promptly laying down in her bed. She feels safest in her crate at night or during downtime. She pretty much ignores other dogs and cats. She is very laid back and spends most of her time lounging around. Shed be a great companion for someone that loves a good couch potato.

Story
Darla is a timid little girl that is going to need someone to work with her to bring her out of her shell. She has gotten better with walking on leash but she may need some help. Darla seems to be fine with other dogs, but if you already have a dog a meet and greet is recommended. Darla was surrendered to the rescue with her sister Demi.  Will you offer one or both a great home to settle down in? She is content to be on her own and will warm up to her people after a bit. Let her do this on her time otherwise she will show you who is boss. I do have some sponsorship for my adoption fee just ask when you come to visit me.  ##1211743##
