Frankie is a curious pup who loves to investigate every corner of his yard, always on the lookout for his furever home. So a fenced in secured yard is a priority. His gentle spirit and loving heart make him the perfect match for a family who is looking for a calm and affectionate addition to their home. Frankie gets along well with other small dogs, making him a great fit for a family who already has a furry friend or are looking for a quiet cutie to join their pack walks. Frankie as an adult dog that has so much love to give and is waiting patiently for his second chance. He was not raised in an ideal home prior to ARF, so patience to let him feel safe is a must. Story
Lightning is a shy, sweet mature doxie mix who came to rescue with her three housemates after losing their home and owner to a house fire. One thing that's apparent about all of these girlies is that they have been generously overfed! Lightning is now on a weight reduction diet to hopefully improve her overall health and long-term lifestyle. We are still learning about Lightning as she settles in, and we'll update information as we get it. It's pretty apparent that Lightning is stressed with all of the recent changes in her life. We are allowing her some space to adjust to rescue and not pushing her too hard to interact. She is slowly coming around, although right now she just prefers to watch the volunteers from her bed. Potential fosters and adopters need to be aware that she needs patience and understanding to adapt to her new life.

Story
Trixie is a shy, sweet mature doxie mix who came to rescue with her three housemates after losing their home and owner to a house fire. One thing that's apparent about all of these girlies is that they have been generously overfed! Trixie is now in foster and on a weight reduction diet to hopefully improve her overall health and long-term lifestyle. We are still learning about Trixie as she settles in to her foster home and we'll update information as we get it. Trixie possibly is the mama of her pack when she came in because let me tell you she does not put up with any foolishness from her foster brothers and sister and will quickly tell them the business. Trixie doesn't or hasn't found her favorite place yet. She likes the privacy of her crate, she'll sleep in the bed, she'll lay on the couch, and at the moment she is laying on the floor under the Christmas tree. However, one thing is for certain she will latch on to her person and won't leave their side.Cats? She shows little interest. Leash? She's ok.....once she learned what it was and for.Food? Her foster seen zero food aggression. Not interested in toys. Isn't doing well left alone. She'd really like someone who can be with her during the day. A work at home or retiree would be ideal.

Story
Meet this precious little Dachshund dream 💜This 2-year-old female Dachshund is as sweet as she looks — and those big brown eyes will melt you the second you meet her. She came into rescue after experiencing a prior back-end injury, which leaves her with some mild special needs, but it does nothing to slow down her love for life, people, and snacks. She is crate trained, appears to be house trained, and gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and every human she meets. She truly believes strangers are just friends she hasn’t been pet by yet. She also walks off-leash and stays close, happy just to be by your side. Her favorite things include: • Eating (enthusiastically)• Napping in cozy spots• Belly rubs and ear scratches (non-negotiable)• Going outside to potty• Being lovedShe’s a low-maintenance, big-hearted little girl who would thrive in a home ready to offer patience, understanding, and lots of affection. In return, she promises loyalty, cuddles, and that classic Dachshund devotion that makes them impossible to forget. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be cherished, this sweet girl is ready to be your forever 🐾💕
