Story
Cherry is a sweet little Dachshund mix looking for a second chance. Several years ago, Cherry was adopted from CARE and loved by her owner for many happy years. Sadly, her owner recently passed away, and Cherry ended up loose and scared, running around on her own for several days before animal control was finally able to safely catch her. The moment we learned she was there, we went and brought her back into CARE. Despite everything she has been through, Cherry has been so resilient. She is now fully vetted, vaccinated, and safe. She also came in with a hurt paw, but it is healing wonderfully, and she is already running around on it and doing great! - Dachshund mix - Fully vetted & vaccinated - Paw healing well - Adoption fee: $150 Adoption fee includes vaccines, deworming, started on heartworm meds, spay or neuter, vet check, microchip. To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. Sending in an application does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us get to know you and your lifestyle a little bit more prior to adoption! We will then review your application, and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email.

Story
Was found on the street of somebody who was abandoned her in 2017 as a grown puppy so she possibly was born in the beginning of 2017. Couldn’t find the owners and decided to keep her. She’s very friendly and smart. She learned good commands mostly worked ,” out” to get out of the house. Very loyal, thus likes to run around the property with the acres. She loves to licking peoples feet that they let him not. She will not touch them. She was once her mother very good mother. She doesn’t bite strangers, but does parking at them, basically alarm and security system. And very cutely sitting and waiting until you arrive. When you arrive, she starts to park everywhere as if she’s doing a great work of protecting you as she’s doing something.
