Story
Meet Lyle! Lyle was brought into the local shelter from the emergency vet after being found. Likely hit by a car, he had a fractured pelvic bone which healed with crate rest. He was found to be HW positive and is almost done with his treatment, which also requires crate rest... Lyle is not impressed with crate rest! He wants to RUN! Run, run, run and then snuggle! He likes to play chase with other higher-energy dogs and will need an active home to take him on daily sniffy walks, hikes, and fun, active things once his HW crate rest is over. His last HW treatment is scheduled for 8/18, and he should be off crate rest for 30 days after that. Lyle is a SHORT stack. He is only 32 pounds and about 24 inches in length. He takes up even less space in the bed when he curls up to sleep under the covers in a ball. He also likes to chew on antlers and shred fluffy toys to bits. Lyle would make a great family pet for an active family who would take him everywhere and work on his recall. Lyle is an escape artist, and he finds the big, wide world way more interesting than crate rest. Learning to wait at doorways will be a necessity! Do you want a bathroom buddy who will follow you everywhere, unless he gets way from you..., and give you the BEST bedtime snuggles???? Lyle is your man! Lyle is being fostered in Anderson, SC, and his adoption fee is $150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget to follow us on social media for updates on our animals! * Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs, we can only guess at the predominant breed or breed mix. Pawsitive Impact gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. * Pawsitive Impact expects all adopted dogs to enroll in a formal positive reinforcement dog training class with their new owners. Training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Ronnie is a lovable senior with plenty of pep left in his step! At just 7–8 years old and a slightly chunky 16 pounds, he’s the perfect little companion with a fun, goofy personality. He’ll make you laugh with his silly antics, then happily crash out for a cozy nap right after. Ronnie came to us from animal control and is ready for a fresh start with a family to call his own. He’s a sweet soul who may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for his warm, affectionate nature to shine through. He’s both (respectful kids) kid-friendly and dog-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to many types of homes. Ronnie is also house-trained and enjoys being part of the daily routine. Ronnie does have dry eye in one eye and requires a simple prescription medication, but he handles it like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing companion with a playful spark and a heart of gold, Ronnie might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Mya Mya was found dumped on a dirt road, heavily pregnant and scared. At the beginning of April, she gave birth to 4 adorable puppies and has been the sweetest mama ever. Once her puppies are fully weaned and she is spayed, Mya will be ready for her forever home at the end of May. Mya is a 3-year-old chiweenie weighing just 12lbs. She is good with other dogs and has a very gentle soul. She’s extremely shy and timid at first — the kind of dog who rolls onto her back with her tail tucked because she just wants to feel safe. But underneath that nervousness is the sweetest little lap dog who wants nothing more than love and reassurance. With kindness and consistency, we know this tiny girl is going to blossom into an amazing companion. ##2734138##

Story
Birdie is a terrier/dachshund mix around 1.5 year old (spayed/microchip). She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with other dogs and kids. She’s also a snuggle bug who is an excellent playmate for little kids. She was found on Pumpkintown Hwy the day after Christmas last year and we planned on keeping her, but she is able to get out of our fenced yard through a trench we have for drainage and we live off a busy road. She is a super sweet tempered dog who loves to love. A perfect family for Birdie would have a fenced yard and other playful dogs and/or kids. A fenced yard is a requirement for Birdie, as she loves to run.
