SCSN Does not respond to Petfinder or Adopt A Pet "Inquiries". If you are interested in one of our available animals you MUST go to our website www.screvenspayandneuter.com and fill out an application.  Puppies have just arrived into rescue and are currently not even 5 weeks old. (DOB 1/19/26) They are legally required to remain in rescue until they are 8 weeks. Because of this, they will not be able to leave rescue until March 16th 2026. Please review the following important information regarding care and adoption timeline: Puppy will be able to leave rescue on March 16, 2026 assuming no complications arise. Puppy will have received 2 DHPP Vaccines prior to and date and will still require one additional Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccine on March 21, 2026. Puppy will need rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age and spay/neuter surgery at approximately 6 months of age as per our adoption contract and licensing requirements through the GA Department of Agriculture. The remaining distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, and spay/neuter surgery are included in the $350 adoption fee if you use Fixing The Boro in Statesboro, GA, where we hold an established rescue account. If you choose to have these services done at your own veterinarian's office, it will have to be done at your own expense. We will reach out to you at around your puppies five-month birthday to set up the spay neuter appointment at the clinic we work with in Statesboro Ga. Prior to adoption, Puppy will be dewormed multiple times, receive 2 rounds of vaccines, microchipped, and will receive their first round of monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventative. While initial deworming is completed in rescue, we strongly recommend a fecal exam at your puppy’s first wellness visit, as parasites can still be present or require targeted treatment. If you are agreeable to these terms, please fill out our adoption application at www.screvenspayandneuter.com on the Adoptable Dogs page. SCSN Does not respond to Petfinder or Adopt A Pet "Inquiries". If you are interested in one of our available animals you MUST go to our website www.screvenspayandneuter.com and fill out an application. *If you choose to adopt (before all vetting is complete) and use your own vet rather than our local Snip Clinic for these services, you do so at your own expense and it will not reduce the adoption fee. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE. 1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen. Please DO NOT CALL the rescue unless you have been specifically given the phone number by one of the staff. 2.) You will be notified by the adoption coordinator if your application is approved. This will happen very quickly, usually the same or next day. (unless you apply on a weekend and vet records can not be verified in which case it will be the next day the vet is open.) If you do not hear from us, you were not approved. There will be no explanation or argument. 3.) Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation. DO NOT show up expecting to “see the dogs”. We are not a municipal shelter- we are a rescue. 4.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up. 5.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet. 6.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead- not a harness, Not a flat collar and leash but a SLIP LEAD that does not need to be fitted and is the only approved method of safe restraint for fearful and flight risk dogs. 7.) Adoption fees can be paid with Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal and credit Card. You pay these the day you adopt when you sign your contract through an online system. Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp. Story
Meet Bandit and Roux, a dynamic dachshund duo who are looking for their forever home together! Their previous owners loved them dearly, but life threw some curveballs, and now they need a new family to call their own. Bandit, the wise 9-year-old dachshund, is the gentleman of the pair. With his mature age, he brings a sense of calm and loyalty to the duo. He loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite people and showing affection. At a sturdy 24 pounds, Roux, the 4-year-old dachshund mix, is a playful pup who could play tug-of-war all day! She's got a big personality and an even bigger heart. These two make quite the team and are looking for a family that can give them the love and attention they deserve. They'd do best in a home with a fenced-in yard, as they prefer to roam freely rather than be restricted by leashes. They get along well with kids and love to cuddle up with their favorite humans. Roux can be a bit territorial with her food, so be sure to be mindful of that. Bandit and Roux are a package deal, and their love and companionship for each other are undeniable. They will bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles to their new family. Their adoption fee is half off so we can find them a new home….together. Fill out an application at https://teamstinkykiss.com/. Feel free to email our adoption coordinator at tskadoptions@gmail.com with any questions!
