Story
Hey everyone! Meet pinky! Her former name was cruella but she didn’t respond to it. A few weeks ago we were contacted by another rescue about a dog sitting at a vet clinic waiting to be euthanized by the owner. The dog was labeled as not potty trained and snapped at her owner, being a dachshund corgi mix its behavior we typically expect and can handle so we said we would take her if the vet would hang onto her for a few days. Pinky has been nothing short of the complete opposite of why she was going to be euthanized. Pinky (the reason we call her pinky is because she was bald in many places due to flea allergies and yeast infections her owner didn’t care for) has not had a single accident in her foster home or in her crate at her foster home. She has been excellent with the other dogs of all sizes, the young children, and the kitties in the home. We do believe her owner was struggling financially and had to make up excuses as to why the euthanasia was necessary, but due to pinky’s condition it was obvious she had not been cared for in a long while. Pinky is a 3 year old corgi dachshund mix and weighs about 25 pounds. She is quiet and well behaved. She LOVES men. We can’t stress it enough that pinky loves men. She does growl a little at her foster mom but nothing past a small growl but totally lights up at her foster dad and the boy children in the home. Her best fit for a home would be with a single man, or a man who does have a woman in his life that doesn’t care pinky will never prefer her, or obviously an amazing gay couple who wants a sweet neglected girl to love on who will return that love tenfold. Pinky would be an amazing fit for almost any type of home, she just prefers men over women. Adoption donation fee is $200 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue. Story
Golden years, golden heart! 💛Meet Fife! Fife is a 9-year-old dachshund mix weighing in at 25 lbs. This charming little guy is the definition of a gentle soul and is ready to spend his golden years soaking up love in a forever home.Fife is a laid-back boy who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves sunbathing in a cozy spot or lounging by your side. He’s a big fan of treats (seriously, they’re the way to his heart!) and happily keeps himself entertained with a good chew toy. His favorite place, though, is right next to you, soaking up belly rubs and snuggles.Fife has Addison’s disease, but don’t let that scare you. He’s thriving! With a simple routine of a monthly zycortal injection and a daily prednisone pill, he stays happy and healthy. Not to mention, he takes them like a champ! This sweet boy is both crate trained and potty trained. He’s great about letting you know when he needs to go outside and does best with regular potty breaks. He gets along well with other dogs, and occasionally gets the zoomies to play with his foster siblings. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids just yet.He loves to go on walks and walks nicely on a leash.Fife is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on regular heartworm prevention—he’s all ready to head home with you!If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart of gold, Fife might just be your perfect match.. if you’re interested in our sweet old man, please visit: www.pawsofadamscounty.com and complete an adoption applicationWhen applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
Cindy is my best companion. She loves belly rubs and to play hide and seek. She wants human touch, doesn't play with toys. She is house trained on doggy pads. Cindy is 7 years old. I can no longer walk her or pick her up because I am 85 years old and she is too much for me now. CINDY goes to Puppy playground on 65th street and they love her there. She is very socialized with other dogs.

Story
Alfie gets along well with other dogs, though like most dogs he has his own opinions about toy sharing and isn’t shy about voicing them with a growl if another dog gets a little too close to something he’s claimed.Alfie came to us after being left behind when his person moved out. His roommates didn’t want to take on his care, so one of them brought him to us instead. It wasn’t his fault, and he’s settling in and doing his best to figure out this new chapter. He’s still a bit timid and is just starting to get comfortable sitting on a lap for any length of time, so he’ll do best with adopters who can give him time and space to build trust at his own pace. He’s not completely potty trained and is actively working on it with his foster.Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and treated for parasites. His adoption fee is $150.If Alfie sounds like the right fit for your home, please complete an application at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. Story
Hi, I'm Blondie. My sister and I were picked up as strays, and now we're looking for a forever home. We're both sweet playful girls who love each other and love to cuddle with our people. We do well with other dogs and kids of all ages. We do like to chase cats if they run, but we're so small we don't really pose a threat. We look to be chihuahua mixes of some kind. We're about a year and a half old. I weigh 8 lbs and Bailey weighs 13. We are crate trained and housebroken as long as we're kept on a schedule. If you're interested in meeting us please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch! A home visit will be required so only homes in a 50 mile radius of Indianapolis should apply. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website at arporescue.org to learn more about our adoption process and complete our adoption application. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
