Story
Corduroy Carmen came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 05/05/23 and she currently weighs approx. 17#..We are guessing at her breed make up. She is very nice! She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative. Her adoption donation is $350 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##2052175##

Story
Cricket is a 5 year old, spayed dachshund mix that has a lot of personality in her little 20 lb. body! She takes a little time getting to know you and may be a little nervous at first, but once she gets to know you, she will be your best friend and follow you everywhere! She will need a little work on potty training. Mainly if she is kenneled. She is very food motivated and loves to be treated when she’s a good girl! She is a big cuddle bug and would love to hang out with you tucked under a blanket. She is good with both cats and dogs, and loves to run around the yard and play with her dog siblings. She is UTD on vaccines and monthly prevention. ##795091##

Story
When we were trying to think of the best way to describe best buds Cheeto and Frito, we kept coming back to telling you that they will bring endless amounts of smiles and happiness into your life. These boys are pure joy, and we jump at every opportunity to hang out with them. Their favorite things in this world are as follows: 1. Attention from anyone. They don't know a single stranger. 2. Food. Food is life. 3. Hanging out together (so they do need to be adopted together!) Their tails never stop wagging. The boys will come over for affection and almost immediately Cheeto will plop over for a belly rub. They can brighten ANY day with their adorable personalities. We haven't observed them around children, but we think if your kiddos are respectful that they would be amazing furbros to them. They seem to be open to being placed with other dogs! We're not sure about kitty friends but can let you know! Frito is mostly white and Cheeto is black/tan. They are both about ten and a half years young and are neutered. They also each had dentals completed! We are working with them to help them lose weight healthily as they are a bit overweight. Cheeto does have a thyroid issue, but he is well-regulated so far! We don't expect his medication to be much more than $30-$50 every 6 months, but it will depend on your vet. We do suggest biannual or annual bloodwork to make sure he continues to stay well-regulated. Come by MHS to meet them. You will fall in love so quickly. Cheeto and Frito make our hearts happy!

Story
Arthur is a short-legged, long-tailed hound mix who is only beginning to realize his greatness. Arthur will benefit from structure and routine (walk, eat, sleep, and repeat!). He will need time to slowly get to know you, and several visits. He is a handsome little guy that enjoys walks and outside playtime. Arthur would do best in a home without children, a fenced yard, and we are not sure about other animals, because he is rather selective about who he likes. Arthur is ready to start his amazing new life with someone willing to provide patience, love, and has dog experience.DOB 2/28/2023 40 PoundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes.
