Story
Hi, I'm Tag (AKA Honey Bear or Baby Bear)! I am SO ready to be your new best friend! I'm 11 pounds of pure Doxie love (maybe a little mix in there; we aren't too sure right now!). I want nothing more than to be with my person whenever possible, so I'd love to be in a home where someone is around most of the time. If it were up to me, I'd be burrowed under a blanket next to you or in your lap all day long.  At 6 years old, I'm well past my crazy puppy years, but that doesn't mean I don't have plenty of energy to play with toys and go for walks. I'm house-trained and mostly crate-trained. I sleep well in my crate throughout the night, though I'd MUCH prefer to be in bed with you! The crate isn't my favorite place during the day, but I can handle it when you're running errands and the like.  I get along great with other dogs, but I'd also do well as an only dog since my goal is to be the apple of your eye. Speaking of eyes, mine are probably the coolest you've ever seen, not to brag. In typical dachshund fashion, I'm pretty vocal. Because of this, I would do best in a home without shared walls (no apartments or duplexes). I'm neutered, microchipped and up to date on all my vaccines/preventatives - I'll even have my teeth freshly cleaned and my adoption fee is $275. I deserve all the love I have to give, and that's a lot! I can't wait to meet you! ##2447386##

Story
Tucker is the sweetest boy! All he wants is to love you and be loved back.Tucker can sit and shake. He loves walks on the boardwalk to the beach and will hike the trails with you. He will play fetch until YOU can’t play anymore! I would love for him to go to home with a family, preferably where one parent is home but he is used to me being gone all day to work. He would love a back yard to play in with kids! He does good with other dogs too. He’s a little nervous with cats. He loves to go anywhere and every where with you! I love him but my life has been changing since my divorce, sadly. I just want him safe, happy

Story
Meet Glitter Intelligent, affectionate, adorable, and eager to please! I can be a little sensitive to touch from people I don't know very well. I like to take things slow and really get to know you before we get touchy-feely. When we are better friends, I love to snuggle up for some belly rubs and cuddles! I am looking for someone that has experience with food and resource guarding. Some of the MAS staff and volunteers have been helping me practice self control with positive reinforcement training. I am very motivated by food, so training is like a fun game for me! I need consistent structure to help me control myself. I have been making leaps and bounds of progress with my training and protocols and I am eager to please, I know several commands and release cues such as "come", "down", "bed", "sit", "look", "lets go", "yes", and "ok". Glitter is such a joy to get to know. She has such a sweet and silly personality, it's nearly impossible to not love her, she is like a little molasses cookie! Growing a bond with any dog, is special; but especially a dog you know has been through a lot. There is such a rewarding feeling, knowing for this dog, you made a difference. Glitter deserves a safe loving home to get a second chance to experience what a family is. Please note that Glitter has a special meet-and-greet protocol that requires several visits, so she and her potential adopters can get to know each other before Glitter goes home. If you would like to apply to adopt Glitter, please submit an adoption application at www.mackenzies.info DOB: 12/14/2014 Meet-Your-Match Canine-ality color is: Orange Busy Bee! For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
