Story
Linus is a 2 year old, 18 pound male dachshund mix. He will be excellent with kids 4 years old and up. A 10 year old girl walked him on a leash and he was just great! Linus is a nice size dog, not too big and not too small and he is easily re-directed. He has manners, sleeps on a sofa or big chair, loves/plays with blankets, loves hugs and kisses which he gives softly, and takes snacks so softly. He doesn’t care about cats. A physical fenced-in yard is requested for his adoption as we don’t know if he will run away. His adoption fee is $300.00. If you would like more information not mentioned here, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com or to apply to adopt, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.November 30, 2023, 9:03 pm

Story
Meet Clara! She's a young pup on the hunt for a wonderful forever family! Clara is looking for a new home that is committed to providing love and guidance so she can grow up to be a wonderful, well-behaved dog. She would love to go to reward based training classes so she can spend time with her new family while working on puppy biting, house training, crate training, playing, and how to be the best puppy she can! Clara is expected to be a medium sized dog, so please take that into consideration when adopting. If you're ready for a lifelong commitment, please fill out an application and someone from CCRC will be in touch. Mom is about 25lbs and Dad is about 30lbs We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   December 1, 2023, 11:04 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sweets, and her sister, Zoey [also available for adoption] are new arrivals to the rescue. They appear to be Dachshund mixes.  Sweets is about 6 months old and weights about 11 pounds.  She is a delightful puppy that loves to play with toys and other dogs.  Sweets is timid and takes time to become comfortable in new environments.  She lacks confidence and takes cues from other dogs in the home.  Sweets would greatly benefit from a canine companion in her adoptive home. Once she is comfortable, she will be your #1 fan and shower you with puppy kisses. She has a short, sleek black coat, which in the right light, has chocolate highlights and shimmers.  She is working on housetraining and keeps her crate clean all night, sleeping though the night without incident. She is a happy pup that would love a forever home for the Holidays. Sweets is UTD on vaccines and microchipped.  She has an appointment for spay on December 10, 2023.   HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a    $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee    to change information.   Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2023, 9:37 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I'm Zoey!  Check out my beard!! I have more terrier traits than anything else. I play fetch! I love toys if you don’t have any that's ok I will find you one and we will play. I like my foster sister and there is a cat here not sure about that. I think I understand potting outside. I am not shy; I will climb right up and love you. Kids are ok I like to kiss them and sniff their ears.  Please come and meet me and make me yours.  Oh, I love to snuggle and just lay in your lap quietly too.   HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization.
