Story
Sebastian came to us through a call from dispatch. According to the call there was "a stray mean Great Pyrenees dog in my backyard". After arriving to the address we learned that the dog was in fact Sebastian and his "owners" called it in. It has appeared to us that Sebastian was being mistreated and possibly abused. We were able to have the owner sign a surrender form. In the first few days and week, Sebastian was in "fight-or-flight" mode. Sebastian acted as if a loving hand had never laid a hand on him. He would flinch anytime we would try to pet him, and show him that we are here to help him. After almost a month, Sebastian started showing progress. He will now let us hold/pet him, feed him treats, and show him that we're here to help. Sebastian needs a foster home or adoptive home that will allow him to decompress and learn to trust new people. It appears that he is very fearful of men, so a female adopter would be best.

Story
Meet Charlie – A Sprightly Senior with a Heart of Gold!Charlie is a 12–13-year-old Dachshund who may be a senior by age, but don’t let that fool you—this little guy still has plenty of pep in his step! We pulled Charlie from a local shelter after he was surrendered, and he’s been charming everyone he meets ever since.Charlie is currently around 17 pounds, but he’s on a healthy diet and working his way down to his ideal weight of 12–13 pounds. He’s fully vetted, feeling great, and thriving in his foster home. He’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Charlie is working on his potty training and wears a belly band to help with the occasional accident—his bladder isn’t quite what it used to be, but he’s trying hard and making progress. We do have another follow up appointment withth his medical team to ensure his bladder is working properly, too. Despite his age, Charlie is active, playful, and full of life! He loves to play fetch and has a blast tossing toys around. He’s the perfect mix of snuggly and spunky—ready for a game or a nap, depending on your mood.Charlie is looking for a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years with love, comfort, and a little bit of fun. If you’re ready to add a loyal, playful companion to your life, Charlie’s your guy! Story
Snickers is certain to put a smile on your face! He is a male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix born December 18th, 2021, and weighs 17.2 Lbs. He has the cutest personality and loves playing with other dogs, watching him wrestle on the bed with them is quite the entertainment. Snickers would love nothing more than to be your best friend, you can always find him cuddled up next to you content and waiting for his snuggles. He is also a great travel companion to keep you company while running errands. Snickers is the best co-pilot! Snickers is crate trained and uses the dog door to go outside potty. If you want a dog that loves you to a nearly absurd degree, few will be a better option than this mix. As both Chihuahua's and dachshunds are very affectionate and easily attached, their cross is often the same. These dogs love to play but they also love to snuggle and are ideal lap dogs. Snickers is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and micro-chipped. $265 rescue adoption fee applies.
