Meet Polaris, an absolutely adorable 6-month-old Dachshund/Basset Hound suspected mix with a beautiful personality and an even sweeter heart!
Weighing approximately 15 pounds, Polaris is a petite little lady with the perfect combination of puppy playfulness and a gentle, affectionate temperament.
Polaris is the sister of Scarlet, and while the two share their adorable looks, Polaris is the slightly more outgoing and adventurous of the pair! She enjoys meeting people, exploring her surroundings, and engaging in playful activities. However, don’t let her puppy enthusiasm fool you — she’s not overly hyper or high-strung. She has a lovely, balanced personality that makes her a wonderful companion.
One of Polaris’s most endearing qualities is her sweet, trusting nature. During her initial veterinary intake, she handled her vaccinations and nail trim like an absolute champion! She was patient, cooperative, and incredibly well-behaved, showing just how wonderful her temperament truly is.
As a young puppy, Polaris is still learning about the world and will benefit from a family committed to continued training, socialization, and establishing consistent routines. With patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of love, she has all the potential to grow into an exceptional lifelong companion.
