Older grumpy weiner dog lovers! Little dog with a personality of an 80 lb dog. If you're looking for a little dude that you'll allow to do his own thing, then he is the one for you! Hello. My name is Lo Siento. I ended up in rescue after misbehaving in my previous home, hence my new ridiculously appropriate name my foster parents gave me. The truth is, I am confident, onery, stubborn and I do what I want. I am crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. I am crate trained, but I can also be left free roam when you're gone. I like to go on walks or just run around in the backyard. I love to run through sprinklers, and I secretly love a bath but don't tell anyone though because it will ruin my tough little dog reputation. I am currently in a home with dogs of all sizes. I can be a bit growly when the big dogs bump into me, but that's it. Its just my frustration of wishing my 80 lb personality matched an 80 lb body. Because of my grumpiness, I will do best with older/considerate children only. No little kids please, I am not a fan. I love to lay and rub against you to ask for pets and I'll even roll on my back for tummy rubs. There is a sweet side of me amongst my toughness. I don't play with toys or other dogs. I prefer to mingle and co-exist doing my own thing, Independently, like observe in the corner of the room or hallway. In true Dachshund breed, I am fierce. I will also alert you when someone is approaching the house  My adoption fee is $200 locally in Houston, TX or $550 out of state (includes health cert and travel fee). I am up to date on all my vaccines, neuter, microchipped, tested heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. I'm Carter and part of the Mother's Day Litter.  I am named after Maybelle Carter, the mother of country music!  That's because of my country charm!  I am a sweet little gentleman with some wiry scruff that I like to think gives me character.  I am potty trained.  I sleep all night in my crate.  I am a pretty darn good puppy and haven't eaten any furniture!  I love lounging around and sleeping, but playing with my brother & chew toys are always fun.  My all time favorite activity though is probably cuddling.  I love to snuff my snoot around your face and head and climb your shoulder too.  I will fit in great with an empty nester, couple, or family, with or without other dogs.  Because I have some Dachshund in me, we will need to take care that I am not jumping too much on & off furniture or up & down stairs so that my back stays healthy for a long time.  Let's just go for some chill walks and play a little tug of war with a toy, shall we?  I am sure I could learn some tricks for treats too!
