Story
Avocado is a spotted, smooshy- faced fella who was found as a stray before originally coming to the shelter. His finder described him as very friendly, and we agree- he has a big smile and a wag of his nubby tail ready for anyone who stops by to visit him! Avocado was adopted in 2024 and spent about a year in a home. Unfortunately, his person became ill and could no longer care for him, so Avocado is back at PACC and looking for a new home. He did well with kids and small dogs in his former home and was reportedly house and crate trained. Avocado’s former family described him as an affectionate couch potato who loves toys and being close to his people. Here’s what volunteers at shelter have said:“As soon as Avocado was leashed up, he was ready to go! We exited the kennel and headed to the play yard. Once in the yard Avocado came and sat all sweet 70 lbs in my lap!! He was happy and alternated between playing in the pool, exploring the yard, and coming back to sit in my lap. He is a LOVE!”“Avocado spent his time in the yard getting as close to me as he could. His favorite spot was backed up between my legs so he could get a massage and scritches. He seems to be a happy and enthusiastic dog and was very loving with me.”Avocado shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Avocado today!!
