NEW FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED Sweet boy James is a 60 lb, 3-year-old Pit Bull / German Shorthair Pointer cross.  He's looking for a new permanent home or foster home in which he can get a little training and meet new people.  He's smart, friendly, willing, and enthusiastic, and most of all, loves interaction with his humans.  He is reported to be wary of men and can be a little slow to warm up to new women, but once he has, he becomes a goofy snuggle bug.  His favorite activities are snuggling his humans, snoozing on the couch, playing in water and romping around the yard with his foster brothers and sisters.  James gets along well with most other dogs, big and small, though he does prefer that the males are on the smaller side.  He loves hunting lizards (to his foster mom's dismay) and hackles up and barks at javalina, but is non-reactive to various livestock. This generally easy-going guy is a well-behaved house guest, doesn't bark much, is house and crate trained, walks fairly well on a leash, rides well in the car, and usually listens when called; however, he could still use some obedience training and socialization with new people. Unfortunately James has Valley Fever in his bones and will need to be treated by a vet and take fluconazole, and possibly carprofen, for an unknown amount of time, but as long as he's on his medications you wouldn't know that anything is wrong with him.   James is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.  His adoption fee is $250 plus licensing fees.   James is available to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Catalina only. Please fill out an adoption application at or email for more information about James.  *Applications to adopt: Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). Tucson, AZ
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Hi! My name is Gina and I'm currently Vader's foster mama. His original owner fell on some hard times with addiction and could no longer take care of him. Vader is very energetic and loves to go for rides. He would make an excellent travel companion! He's about 4 years old and needs his shots updated. He loves to cuddle and is very loyal. Also great with little dogs (he's been made an honorary Chihuahua by my little dogs :) I think Vader would do well with most people but most importantly he needs a yard he can play in. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
