Story
Did you have a nickname growing up that you either hated or loved? Or did you give yourself one, but it just wouldn’t stick? Most of our dogs at home have at least five alternative names which we use based on how naughty or nice they are behaving! Whether it’s “Sweetheart” or “Trouble”, our dogs don’t care what we call them, as long as we welcome them with love! That’s a good thing, considering one of Slushie’s volunteer friends came up with a pretty goofy nickname for him!“Slush?ie-w?ush?ie-bougie-bab?y is a tolerant, friendly, affectionate and playful boy! He had a tangled-up cone on when I met him in his kennel and he was tolerant as I lifted up his feet and tried to untwist him. We made our way over to a play yard, where Slushie split his time between playing with his kennelmate and snuggling with me! His kennelmate has a noisy boisterous play style and Slushie didn`t mind one bit. He matched his energy as they raced around and around the yard. He would come over to me for snuggles, letting me pet him all over his body. He`s a good natured, easygoing boy! I know he will bring so much love into a forever family!”Slushie shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’s looking for a secure home where he will be welcomed indoors and given lots of mental and physical stimulation. He’s an energetic, cuddly boy who wants to be with his people and would probably love to join them on walks and hikes! Whether you keep his name or give him a new one, Slushie doesn’t care what you call him, as long as he can call you his “Furever Family”. Ask to meet this spectacular boy today!

Story
We’ve heard dogs referred to as a lot of things, but Wade is the first that we’ve referred to as a “snackaholic”! He’s our spirit animal! This treat-loving cutie pie is a 5-star rated day trip dog, earning rave reviews from his community friends and volunteers:“Wade was friendly, sweet and playful. He went on a hike and really liked smelling the plants and running on the trail. He did really well in the car and got a tasty pup cup. He’s a great running buddy, and a curious “snackaholic!”“Wade encountered a couple other dogs while hiking. He was really excited to see them but let them pass. Wade did very well overnight. He had no trouble getting into the car. He laid right down when we brought him inside. He was respectful in the home. He only barked a couple times and then quieted down.”Photogenic Wade recently spent time with some volunteer friends who shared:“Wade came to a play yard for a photoshoot and did amazing. He met new people, including an adult man and a teenager, and did great. He loved tug of war and carrying around soft toys and chewing them up. He was happy to give up the toy for a treat trade. Absolute sweetheart and good boy. He was easy to leash/unleash/walk.”Wade shares his kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Whether you’re looking for a new best friend to sit on the couch and snack and chill with, or one to run the trails with you, Wade is up for ANYTHING! Come meet him today!

Story
Billow is a bouncy boy who first arrived at PACC as a stray. During a brief stay in a home, he did well with other dogs, was house trained, and was described as affectionate, playful, and smart. He loves toys and wants nothing more than to be by his person’s side. “Billow knows sit and paw and I didn’t teach that- he already knew it. He slept in the bed with me or on the couch. Loves to play fetch with his squeaky balls.”Here’s what some of Billow’s volunteer friends have said:“Billow is a sweet little boy! I met for the first time today and he was very friendly in his kennel, easy to leash up and bring over to a play yard. He’s a happy-go-lucky pup who just seems content with whatever is going on. He spent some time in my lap getting pets, he spent some time trying to get his kennelmate to play with him, and he spent some time just exploring the play yard. He watched curiously as other dogs passed by and did not bark or react. He’s a sweet, sweet baby.”“Billow is just a youngster who can be quite rambunctious. He’s very sweet, knows how to sit, and takes treats gently.”Billow shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
