Story
Ben is a 4 year old Dalmatian. I purchased him from a breeder. He’s been around children ages 2-17 daily his whole life. He’s good with cats and other dogs, he loves his daily walk, which he rarely misses. He walks for an hour, but his teenagers take him jogging a couple times a week as well. Dalmatians are lab-shaped but I like to remind people they’re not lab-tempered. They’re not as biddable as a lab, have very high exercise needs and will respond poorly to punishment style correction. They’re very intelligent and expressive. They need an intelligent, patient owner. I’d love him to find someone with already high energy and an active lifestyle. He’s used to trails every weekend and at least an hour of walking plus some off leash play each evening. He’s a gorgeous dog, an absolute buffoon, as playful as it gets. He loves the squeaky carrot toy from Target, which I’ve been buying and replacing for him regularly since he was a puppy.

Story
Cuddling is my favorite thing! I love all people whether I meet them on walks, stores or at my home. I love hiking! I also really enjoy laying in the sun. I really love meeting all the children on my neighborhood walks too. I would do best as an only dog so I can soak up all the love from my humans. General Socialization Notes: I am a very social girl. I love all humans I meet. When I am out on walks, I do tend to pull a little and can be a bit reactive. I am willing to work on that! I do resource guard my humans from other dogs. Being an only dog would be best. Does Sadie like other animals? I do want to meet other dogs on walks. I will do best as an only dog in my home because I really want all the attention. I'm not too sure about cats. Does Sadie like children? I love to meet children and they always love me! Favorite Toys: I try to play with toys but I do love playing with my humans and my toys together. My favorite treat is salmon bites. Ideal Forever Home: I would love to live as an only dog in a home to get all the attention! I'd do fine living with children. I will most definitely be your shadow and follow you every where. I'd be your best furry friend!

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: 1 year old female transferred from Second Chance Dog Rescue (TX). This dog was previously owned by one of our rescue contacts who, due to recent life changes, made the difficult decision to surrender her. She has been well cared for and is described as very loved. From the foster: Zyla will make you wonder how you ever lived without her. She is still getting acquainted with her new surroundings. She has only been with a foster for a few days. Her whole world was turned upside down from the only owner she has ever known, who loved her dearly. She is constantly investigating new sites and sounds. She is shy when she meets new people, but a few scratches on her head she’ll look up and smile. Zyla is an observer, she watches people, other dogs & deer from the window but never barks. Zyla will gently rest her head on your lap & use those golden eyes to ask politely to be petted. She is a cuddler and likes giving kisses. You know it’s cuddle time by hopping right on the couch. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with a heart of gold and endless love to give, Zyla is your gal. Zyla is well behaved indoors. She is completely Potty-trained. She loves taking leisurely strolls in the neighborhood. Walks very well on a leash. She did not crate sleep as she sleeps perfectly fine in our room. She has not felt comfortable in a crate. Zyla likes sitting in her own bed when she needs a little downtime, chewing on a bully-stick. She gets along well with other dogs she mets. Zyla a truly exceptional, loving dog looking for a forever home. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
