Story
Cooper is approximately 6 months old & looking for a forever home with a yard/fence & a dog companion. He was believed to be deaf when he came to us, but we don't think he is 100% deaf, he can definitely hear some sounds.  He absolutely loves other dogs & will do best with a canine companion in his forever home. We have no idea what his breed is, but the internet told us he looks like an Albino Dalmation.   All we know is he is a very good boy that is loving, eager to learn & will make a fantastic addition to any family. If interested in meeting Cooper, please complete an application at sapamo-rescue.org. May 12, 2025, 9:06 pm

Story
Meet Dorito! This 5-year-old, 28-pound mixed breed may have had a rough start, but he’s making incredible progress thanks to his dedicated foster. Found as a terrified stray, Dorito has been slowly learning to trust and is blossoming into a sweet, playful companion. He loves using the doggy door to take his toys outside, where he entertains himself by tossing them around. He enjoys being brushed, is now taking treats from his foster’s hand, and is gradually getting used to a leash. Dorito is quiet and calm in the home and seems to be house-trained.This special boy would thrive in a patient, loving home with another dog to help boost his confidence. If you have a gentle heart and a soft spot for a pup who just needs a little extra love, Dorito could be the perfect fit for you!

These pups are in Highland, Illinois too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shuggie is an 8-year old Catahoula/Blue Heeler cross, who has lived with his current family since he was a puppy; now, however, his owners are relocating in another country in order to care for an elderly relative, and they prefer to find Shuggie a new home rather than move him around the world. Shuggie is a sweet dog and although he has interacted well with children in the past, he has not lived with children and he would do best in an adult home.  He also is too interested in cats and should not be asked to live with them.  He has lived with other dogs and interacted well with them. Shuggie has a bite history, which his owners say resulted from a utility worker's reaching a hand over the fence into Shuggie's yard, which took the dog by surprise.  However, there is far more to Shuggie than that one incident, and his owners say this about him: Shuggie is a high-energy, intelligent, and deeply loyal companion who's looking for his perfect match. This food-motivated pup loves nothing more than an active adventure whether it's hiking trails, long walks, or chasing after his favorite tennis balls! While Shuggie is incredibly loving, he takes time to warm up to new people and requires a patient approach to building trust. He's made tremendous progress through extensive training and responds well to positive reinforcement and structured introductions. To learn more about Shuggie or to arrange to meet him, please contact his owners at  laura.e.cleary@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2025, 7:08 pm
