Skylar is a total people dog. If you are looking for a loyal companion who wants to be with you - on the couch, in the room, in your general orbit- she's your girl. She is incredibly loving with her humans and thrives on affection, cuddles, and quality time. Skylar would do best as an only pet. While she has tolerated certain dogs she already knows, she is not a fan of cats or unfamiliar animals, and introductions with other dogs can be hit or miss. Because of that, we believe she would truly shine in a home where she can be the center of attention (and honestly, she would be very happy about that). She is calm, affectionate, and deeply bonded to her people; one of those dogs who makes a house feel like home. She’s very smart, highly trainable, and eager to engage with her people, especially when she has a job to do or a routine to follow. She has a lot of energy and will thrive in a home with room to run or with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and can commit to daily walks (twice a day is ideal). Mental stimulation and structure go a long way with Blake, and she does especially well when her energy is put to good use. Blake is generally friendly with other dogs, though compatibility can depend on the dog and proper introductions. With her people, she is sweet, affectionate, and loyal.
