Hi, I`m Dallas, and I have a very important question.Do you throw? Because I fetch. And unlike some dogs, I actually understand how this game works. You throw the ball. I chase the ball. I bring the ball back. You throw it again. It`s a beautiful system, really.I also know how to sit, wait nicely for treats, and respond when someone redirects me. I`ve even been known to get a little enthusiastic about snacks, but who hasn`t?There`s more to me than my impressive ball-retrieval résumé, though. I`m a genuinely sweet boy who loves affection just as much as playtime. I`ll happily take a break from chasing my beloved ball to enjoy some pets and scratches. I like spending time with my people, whether we`re playing together or simply enjoying each other`s company.Now, I do have a few opinions about how things should work.For starters, I`m not a fan of other dogs getting in my business. I can become reactive when I see them around the shelter or while we`re walking, so I`m going to need someone who understands that keeping a comfortable distance and helping me focus on something else is much better than forcing introductions.Which is why I need a strong owner cause I really like walks! I`m not particularly interested in dragging you down the sidewalk or training for a half marathon. I`d much rather take my time, investigate an interesting patch of grass, sniff something suspicious, and then sniff it again just to be sure.Some dogs want a marathon. I want a sniffari. There`s a whole world of smells out there, and I intend to read every single one of them.I think that`s what makes me such an interesting combination. I`m playful, affectionate, and eager to spend time with people, but I also need someone who respects that I have boundaries. I don`t need someone who expects me to be perfect. I need someone willing to understand me.I`m Dallas. You bring the love, the patience, and a tennis ball. I`ll bring the ball back, and we`ll figure out the rest together.
