Amira is a goofy girl who absolutely loves her people! She’s happiest when she’s right by your side—whether you’re doing chores around the house or settling in for a movie night, she’ll be there keeping you company. Amira does great with other dogs and kids, and she loves playing tug-of-war with her dog friends or proudly carrying a stuffy around like it’s her prized possession. Food is definitely one of her favorite things! When it’s time to eat, she gets so excited she’ll bounce all the way to her kennel like a little bucking bronco. She knows how to sit, and when you ask her to “down,” she’ll happily flop right onto her back. Amira walks on a leash and does well, though she can occasionally get nervous and put on the brakes—but a few treats and some encouragement get her moving again. She’s ready for her forever home and would do great as an only dog or with canine siblings. Amira is just looking for a family to love—and to stick close to forever. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport your area)

Oakley is a very sweet boy. He will do well with a family that will let him be safe and not try and intimidate him. Not sure of his background before he came to us, but he is fearful at times and often guards food, toys, etc.

To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Super sweet boy who loves pets and will roll over on his back for belly rubs - LOVES to play with toys, especially any that make noise, and is a super goofy player - Also a big fan of tennis balls! - Everyone and anyone is his friend; thinks he is a lap dog and will crawl right up to snuggle with you - Wants to be involved in everything you're doing - even your chores! - Likes to sit and observe people going about their day - Knows sit and come - Walks nicely on a leash but may try to guide you in the direction he wants to go if he sees something interesting - Does GREAT in the car and will plop down in the back and snooze - Good at going into his crate for his foster family and has only had two accidents while in his foster home; has generally done well with potty training in his foster home - Sleeps through the night in his foster home - Can be very enthusiastic when asking for attention - May be interested in investigating what's on your counters - Will love a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play - Has enjoyed spending time around kids and other dogs; may like having a dog friend to play with in his new home - Will do best in a home where everyone is old enough to handle his happy, friendly energy This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program.
