Story
- Very good boy who loves lots of pets! - Knows sit and will happily show you for treats - Does well on a leash - Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress - Needs to be the only dogThis pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 76 Age: 8yrs 3mths 1wks

Story
I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Fetch and chase games are my favorite . I am adoptable in Texas, I need to meet my family and you need to meet me! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
These happy, playful, and loving puppies are everything you could want in a new best friend! Their days are filled with zoomies around the yard, wrestling matches with their siblings, and discovering every new sight and smell they can find. Every adventure is exciting when you're seeing the world through puppy eyes! Once they've burned off some of that puppy energy, they're all about spending time with their people. They love attention, happily soak up affection, and are always ready to hand out plenty of puppy kisses. With constantly wagging tails and joyful personalities, these little ones bring smiles wherever they go. They're ready to trade playtime with their siblings for adventures with their forever families. If you're looking for a loyal companion to grow up with, one of these sweet pups could be the perfect addition to your home.
