Rufus started his journey in Kansas City as a tiny, long-haired Dalmatian puppy with the softest ears and the biggest personality. He’s still very much a puppy — playful, curious, and full of joyful energy. He loves chasing toys, exploring the yard, and turning every moment into an adventure. After a good play session, he’s the sweetest cuddle bug, happily curling up beside you. Making this decision hasn’t been easy. Our lifestyle has become too busy, and we’re not home enough to give Rufus the time, training, and attention he deserves. He needs an active, loving home ready for puppy energy and lifelong loyalty. She’s a medium-energy gal who enjoys a good balance of lounging and play. When the zoomies hit, she loves to romp around with her toys and may even turn it into a game of “catch me if you can” in the yard. Malibu gets along well with chill, non-reactive dogs of all sizes, but would do best in a home without cats. Her babies are now safe and cared for, and it’s finally Joyce’s turn to find a loving home of her own. Joyce is truly a people dog at heart. She forms quick, gentle connections and loves being close to her humans. On a recent volunteer outing, she showed just how affectionate she is by calmly settling in, resting her head in a lap, and drifting off to sleep as if she’d found her safe place. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if Joyce quietly climbs into your lap and rolls over for belly rubs. She’s soft, trusting, and happiest simply being near you. She walks nicely on leash, enjoys getting out for fresh air and exploration, and has a calm, easygoing presence once she’s out of the kennel. Joyce has been tolerant around other dogs, but she prefers calmer companions and may become overwhelmed by overly energetic play styles. Because of this, she would likely do best with a relaxed canine friend or as your one-and-only, where she can soak up all the attention she loves. Molly is a 3 year old shepherd mix girl who weighs around 65lbs. She is a big girl that simply doesn't know her own size. She thinks she's a lap dog and man can her tail move when she's happy! She is a little shy at first but it doesn't take long for her to warm up to you. Belly rubs and neck scratches are her favorite. She made instant friends with the other two dogs in the foster home and hasn't had a single accident. She is crate trained and uses the doggy door. She loves being in her crate and doesn't mind being in it all night. Sometimes she even puts herself to bed! If you're looking for a new best friend, Molly is surly to win your heart.
