Dobbie is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart…and then keeps it forever. A handsome 3-year old, 55-pound Dalmatian with classic spots and the softest, kindest expression, Dobbie is partially blind - but you’d be amazed at how confidently and gracefully he moves through the world once he learns his surroundings. Dobbie is super sweet, easy-going, and affectionate. He is the definition of cuddle bug and would happily sit right next to you all day long if that’s the plan. Couch time? Perfect. Quiet companionship? Even better. Occasional zoomies? Yes - just enough to keep things fun! Exceptionally gentle, calm, and trusting, Dobbie gets along well with dogs, cats, kids, adults and the elderly. He’s more of a co-exist sort of fella with other pets, rather than a rough-and-tumble one, but he can blend in easily in with any personality type. Dobbie is totally housebroken, walks well on a leash, sleeps soundly through the night, shares his possessions with ease, rarely barks, has a hearty appetite, and is very gentle taking treats and interacting with people. He’s responds to several commands, including come, potty outside, and good boy. He loves soothing music, and he likes it when you talk to him, especially if you use a high-pitched baby voice! One of Dobbie’s things is face-to-face snuggles where you gently hold his cheeks and cuddle in close. Yes, he’s THAT kind of dog! While Dobbie appreciates a little extra guidance due to his visual impairment, his disability is very manageable, and he adapts quickly with patience and consistency. Dobbie is an absolute treasure who would thrive in any chill home with humans who are willing to show him the way. He’s a low-energy guy who enjoys relaxed sniffy walks and then settling in for some quality couch time with his people. Spade’s favorite thing in the world is being with his family—wagging his tail and soaking up the company. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, and happily sleeps in his crate at night. He also does well with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with canine friends.
