QUICK FACTS Name: Dubu Age: Estimated to be born in 2023 (Around 3 years old) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Dalmatian Jindo mix Color: White, Black spots Weight: 15.7kg / 34.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm, where I spent my days confined in a small cage with very little care. I was at risk of being slaughtered, but thankfully, I was rescued just in time. Now, I’ve been given a second chance at life and am ready to leave my past behind and embrace a future filled with safety, love, and kindness.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed and healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet girl who’s been through so much, but I’ve held onto a kind and trusting heart. Despite my past, I’m still very open to people and get along well with my dog friends. I even know how to catch treats in the air—it’s one of my little talents! I may be a bit shy in the beginning, but with a little reassurance and patience, I warm up and show my true self. Once I feel comfortable, I’m incredibly gentle and affectionate, and I love to shower my people with soft kisses. All I really need is a bit of understanding at first, and I’ll reward you with so much love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be shy at first and need a bit of time before I’m ready for affection. I do best with gentle, patient introductions that help me feel safe. I’ll take treats softly from your hand and, with a little reassurance, I do warm up. I tend to feel more comfortable around women initially due to my past, and I prefer not to be picked up right away—I just need a bit more time to build trust. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet side really comes out, and I’ll even show my belly as a sign that I feel safe and at ease. · With Dogs: I love greeting new dog friends and enjoy playing with them. I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size and energy level, where I feel the most comfortable and balanced. I’ve been doing well with the dogs at the care facility and show a friendly, social nature. I also find a lot of comfort in my dog friends and often look to them for reassurance and emotional support. Very high-energy dogs can feel a bit overwhelming for me, so I do best with calmer, well-matched companions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best fit. During walks, I may notice cats with curiosity, but I’m able to stay calm and continue on my way without much interest.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks, and exploring, but I’m just as happy to come inside and relax. After I’ve had my activity, I love to snuggle up and unwind, making me a great balance of active and cuddly.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners and improving a little more each day. I do best in quieter areas, as loud noises can make me feel scared. When I’m overwhelmed, I may try to move away quickly, so I benefit from a calm, steady handler who can help me feel safe and reassured. I have good manners with people around food and don’t guard, though I can be a bit sensitive if other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I may bark occasionally, but I settle down quickly and don’t hold onto that energy for long. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and can relax well once I feel settled. I can get car sick, so shorter or smoother rides help me feel more comfortable. I’m also familiar with both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty, and with routine, I’ll continue to build consistency.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my past and wiling to be patient while I come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet girl who’s been through so much and truly deserve the very best. When I feel scared on walks, I naturally look to my handler for reassurance—once I’m comforted with gentle pets and calm guidance, I’m able to relax and continue on. I can be more cautious around men due to my past, but with patience and kindness, I do warm up. I promise I’m worth the time and understanding—once I trust you, I form strong bonds and love deeply. I’ll happily shower you with kisses and stay close to the people I feel safe with. I especially love to snuggle into a cozy blanket or bed—it helps me feel secure and at ease. Even in new environments, having a soft space to curl up in helps me adjust much more quickly. When I’m settled on my blanket, I’m relaxed and open to gentle pets, enjoying those quiet, comforting moments together.   DUBU'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2705450##
