Story
Cooper is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle, thoughtful spirit who just needed time to feel safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, it was clear he hadn’t had much (if any) socialization with people or everyday life inside a home. Regular household sounds, movement, even the TV were overwhelming. His crate became his safe place, and he would choose to go there often just to feel secure. With patience and consistency, Cooper has slowly blossomed. Now he spends most of his day resting calmly on the couch or laying in the kitchen while meals are being made. He used to be nervous in the car, but now he gets excited to go for rides. He didn’t understand treats at first, but now he joyfully pops up on his hind legs to ask for one. Cooper does very well with dogs of all sizes and is respectful of cats. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training—he hasn’t had an accident in the house in about a week. Though he is around 4 years old, he still has a bit of youthful playfulness in him. He loves belly rubs, gentle massages, chewing on toys, and watching the world go by from the cat perch. On walks, he is calm, rarely pulls, and often looks back to “check in” with his person—he truly wants to do things right. Because unpredictable movement can still make him nervous, Cooper would do best in a calm home without young children. He needs someone who can offer patience, steadiness, and understanding. Cooper has already come so far. With a loving, reassuring person by his side, he will continue to open up and become the loyal, tender, devoted companion he is meant to be. Story
Luna has been a deeply loved member of our family for nearly 12 years. We acquired her as a young dog & she has grown up alongside us, bringing years of loyalty, companionship, and calm presence to our home. As she is aging, her needs are changing and she requires more individualized attention, quiet time, and monitoring than we are able to consistently provide at this stage of our family’s life. We currently have two small children at home, and despite our love and best intentions, we recognize that her quality of life would be better supported in a home with more time, space, and flexibility to focus on her. Recently, she was evaluated by our veterinarian for a mass on her leg. At this time, it is being monitored. Due to concerns about how well she would tolerate a procedure, we have chosen to delay intervention and continue veterinary guidance. She is gentle, loyal, calm, and affectionate. She does best in a quieter environment and would thrive with someone who can give her the ext

Story
Meet Ritchie Rich 💚 Adopt Ritchie Ritchie may not be the kind of dog who wows you in the first five minutes—but give him a little time, and you’ll see the real Ritchie: a total love nugget with a heart of gold. 💫 Ritchie is a 40–50 lb Australian Kelpie mix who came to us from Bibb County Animal Control. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people (especially men), but once he knows you, his affectionate, silly side shines through. He’s especially fond of the ladies—our volunteer Debbie walks him often and swears he’s absolutely perfect. If her house wasn’t already full, Ritchie would be snuggled on her couch by now! Ritchie’s the kind of pup who needs a few leash walks and slow intros to build trust. He’s not going to run into your arms on day one—but the bond you’ll build with him is the kind that lasts a lifetime. He’s treat motivated, so making friends with him comes with sweet bribes and tail wags. 💡 Ritchie’s favorite things: Long walks and hiking adventures Kisses (once he knows you) Snacks. So many snacks. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for a patient, kind human who will give him the time he needs to blossom. Ritchie may not show well in the shelter, but trust us—he’s a hidden gem. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances, quiet connections, and letting love grow slowly and beautifully... Ritchie is waiting for you. 🐾 Ready to meet your hiking buddy and secret sweetheart? 👉 Apply to adopt Ritchie Ritchie Rich is Pets for Patriots approved: https://www.petsforpatriots.org/forget-me-not/ritchie-rich-ga/

Story
🍖 Meet Yeti “Spaghetti” 🥰 | The Gentle Cuddlebug Yeti came to us in February 2025 from the urgent list at Animal Control after being picked up as a stray with PARVO. He was very sick when he arrived, but this resilient boy pulled through and is now healthy, happy, and almost two years old! At first, Yeti wasn’t sure how to play with other dogs, but now he loves roughhousing and running around with his best friend Bon Jovi, as well as Amber and Mystic. He adores other dogs and playing with them is one of his favorite things! Yeti is calm, curious, and a little timid with new people, so he takes a bit of time to warm up. Once he does, he’s a big sweetheart who loves cuddles, hugs, and kisses. He’s not much for toys yet—he flinches when they’re tossed—but he’s perfect for snuggles and gentle play. He may be a little too timid for homes with young children. Yeti is fully vetted, leash-trained, and ready to find his forever home. He does have a funny little habit of needing to go to the bathroom on his blankets right after eating, but that doesn’t stop him from being the loving, tender-hearted cuddlebug he is! 📍 Location: Cleveland, Tennessee ✈️ Transport: Available to other states 💰 Adoption Fee: $150

Story
Meet Princess! 👑 Princess is a 1 year old Hound/Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer mix who came to us from the same situation as Hank, her dad. Her mom is Heidi, also from the same group, so this little girl is truly one-of-a-kind! She’s just about fully grown and is teeny-tiny for her breed mix, weighing only around 40 pounds. Princess may be small, but her personality shines bright. She’s a very sweet, affectionate pup who loves people and adores being held. Unlike her dad Hank, who’s on the timid side, Princess is more outgoing and eager to make friends. She’s dog-friendly, playful, and would love a family to keep her busy with fun and love. Like Hank, Princess has likely never been walked on a leash before. When one is clipped on, she tends to freeze up, lie down, or tug against it. Her forever family will need to be patient and help her learn that walks can be fun and safe. With time, consistency, and encouragement, she’ll catch on quickly. Princess is fully vetted and ready to start her new life. She’s a sweet, unique little girl who deserves to grow up in a home filled with love, snuggles, and adventures. If you’re looking for a small hound mix with a big heart, Princess is ready to be your girl! ❤️ 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚐 Transport available to other states 💲 Adoption Fee: $200
