Story
She's a good dog. She's been raised as a guard dog so she is protective of her owner. I've had her since she was 10 weeks old and she is now 10 years old and she's only ever lived with me so it will take some time for her to get used to living with someone new. She is a Dalmatian and she is a very smart dog. My living situation is changing and I'm not able to keep her where I currently live but I am trying to find different housing. I won't be able to find housing in the needed time so I am looking for someone willing to foster her until I can find new housing that will allow her to live with me. She has been an outside dog her whole life but she is house trained. I have a dog house for her & a self feeding and self watering bowl for her. I will buy all her food, flea & tick medicine and take care of any medical issues with her while she is being fostered so whoever fosters her doesn't have to buy anything, just give her a place to live and a little bit of your time. Thanks.

Story
Cooper is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle, thoughtful spirit who just needed time to feel safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, it was clear he hadn’t had much (if any) socialization with people or everyday life inside a home. Regular household sounds, movement, even the TV were overwhelming. His crate became his safe place, and he would choose to go there often just to feel secure. With patience and consistency, Cooper has slowly blossomed. Now he spends most of his day resting calmly on the couch or laying in the kitchen while meals are being made. He used to be nervous in the car, but now he gets excited to go for rides. He didn’t understand treats at first, but now he joyfully pops up on his hind legs to ask for one. Cooper does very well with dogs of all sizes and is respectful of cats. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training—he hasn’t had an accident in the house in about a week. Though he is around 4 years old, he still has a bit of youthful playfulness in him. He loves belly rubs, gentle massages, chewing on toys, and watching the world go by from the cat perch. On walks, he is calm, rarely pulls, and often looks back to “check in” with his person—he truly wants to do things right. Because unpredictable movement can still make him nervous, Cooper would do best in a calm home without young children. He needs someone who can offer patience, steadiness, and understanding. Cooper has already come so far. With a loving, reassuring person by his side, he will continue to open up and become the loyal, tender, devoted companion he is meant to be.
