Story
Hallo Mate!!! I am the EPITOME of Australian Kelpie dogs, smart and agreeable, loving and playful, driven and very treat oriented! And I am a GREAT size!! Now, my life has not always been AWESOME BLOSSOM, if you know what I mean?? I was found in the valley with basically NO HAIR, but a magnetic and charming personality that won over a nice lady who saved me!!! AND my charm won over the rescuer in San Antonio who took a chance on me, and I won the doggy lottery!! I mean, look at me now!! I am a hairy boy, with meat on my bones and love in my heart! READY to take the plunge with my FUREVER family!! I am super smart and need an active family. I will do anything you want me to, if it is followed by the treats I love! :) And I will make some great arm candy when you are out on the trails, or at the beach or in the mountains... or all three! ADOPT ME!!! I will keep you company wherever you go!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
I am currently in Greater Vancouver!Update from Foster: I continue to be a loving dog who greatly enjoys cuddles and playtime with my humans. I am working on my confidence with new people I meet as I am still recovering from the awful treatment I received as a puppy. I love playing with dogs who are kind to me and I look forward to getting to know my new adopters. I can live in a family with another dog but only if I get to know and trust them first. I would like a yard but as long as I'm near pleasant walking areas, a home without a yard would be fine too. Are you perhaps my new human?  Hana is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves to cuddle and get pets. She loves to play with toys on her own and loves to chase balls, but still hasn’t figured out how to bring the ball back. She is very quiet and is housetrained. She eats her meals without any hassle. Oddly enough, she doesn’t like peanut butter, but loves roast beef! She is very easy to walk on a leash but can be fearful of other dogs that get too close. She is best suited for a home without any other pets but hopefully, with patience and training, she can improve her social skills with other animals. Here is some info about me:Breed: Dalmatian/Lab mixAge: 3 yrsGender: fe, spayedWeight: 28 kg/ 62 lbsHeight: 62 cm/ 25-1/2 in HISTORY: My rescuer saved me when I was only 5 months old. A crazy man chained me to a tree and was beating me, because I ate his chicken. I was sooo hungry. They had no idea how long I was in that horrible situation, but no one helped me. It was actually my rescuer's friend that first saw me, but she was afraid to approach the angry man to stop him. So she called my rescuer and they both went together and hid until the guy left. Then they went and unchained me to bring me to safety. I was so weak I couldn’t walk on my own. They had to carry me to their car. They took me to the vet and amazingly, I didn’t have any broken bones and no severe injuries from being hit. I was of course very weak from hunger and had no energy to walk. I received an IV injection and came home with my rescuer who cared for me til I was healthy again.  Time for my very own home now though. Don't you just love my freckled fur? I am super friendly. Also, quite active and playful. I've got dancing feet, hip hopping all over. Life is so joyful. I enjoy being around other dogs as well as people but I usually need a bit of time to get to know them first. However, where I live is an abandoned area, where many other dogs are living with me. My rescuer comes to feed us as often as possible, but it is not daily nor as much food or as good a nutrition as we need. We are safe there though. So, I await you being my next hero and saving me and bringing me to Canada for a truly good life. Couple more vids: https://youtu.be/pRTkwNKJEEU, https://youtu.be/ICU-O5fn2aE. Energy Level: moderate Get along with:Dogs, yes Cats, unknownKids, unknown Prey drive: unknown, not observed with cats, squirrels, rabbits, etc... My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: sometimes strange dogs or people can scare me but the longer I'm in a safe setting, the more trusting I become. Training: some with her current fosterLeash skills: progress has been madeHouse trained: yes Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems!Basic training should be taken seriously and should begin within a few days AFTER arrival. Check out courses in your local area and enrol right away. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website. *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.  ##1221828##

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Ariel! She is a 9-month-old, 25 lb Dalmatian who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Ariel is an absolute sweetheart. She is initially a little shy but loves people and loves to give kisses to everyone she meets. She is polite on walks and walks well on a leash, continually looking to her handler for direction. She is very smart and learns quickly. She is potty trained, and she does great on car rides. She still has puppy energy and would love an active family who would take her for regular walks and adventures. She LOVES to play with other dogs and will thrive in an environment where she will have other dogs to play with. She would excel in a home where she can have plenty of love and attention and with someone who is dedicated to continuing her training. Ariel is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $550.
