Meet GusGus,a Dalmatian Terrier mix with scruffy good looks, a goofy personality, and absolutely no plans to take life too seriously. GusGus came to us with burned paws, but this tough little guy is healing beautifully and putting his ruff start behind him. Now he’s focused on the important things in life: making friends, learning new tricks, and terrier-izing his future family. -Dogs: The more, the terrier! Dottie Darling is estimated to be nine years old, but no one has mentioned that to her. We won't if you don't. This beautifully spotted girl looks every inch a Dalmatian and has plenty of bounce, silliness and enthusiasm for working a room. She will happily make the rounds collecting pets, belly rubs and booty scratches, toss in a little playful moment for good measure, and then retire to the couch like the seasoned professional she is. As always with rescue dogs, breed and age are our best guesses rather than guarantees. Whatever may be in her family tree, Dottie is a wonderfully expressive, delightfully spotty girl with a personality that is all her own. Her energy comes in perfectly manageable little bursts. Dottie enjoys bouncing around, exploring and getting playful, especially when she hears the magical sound of a squeaky toy. She may carry a toy around for a bit, but squeak one and you will have her complete attention. Once she has had her fun, she is more than ready to stretch out and relax. She has big couch-potato energy with just enough playful sparkle mixed in to keep life fun and full of laughs. People are unquestionably Dottie’s favorite. She is confident, affectionate and wonderfully comfortable being handled. During her assessment, she happily moved from person to person collecting attention, rolled onto her back for belly rubs and accepted affection from everyone she met. She forms close bonds with her people and would love a home where she can soak up plenty of one-on-one attention. Dottie is also house trained and has lovely manners in the home. She handles everyday noises and activity well, walks nicely on leash and responds well to guidance. A ground-floor apartment could suit her just fine, provided the complex welcomes a girl of her size and breed. Because she is an older lady, she appreciates breaks, comfortable places to rest and a home that will not expect her to spend long stretches exercising in the heat. Now for the boss-lady portion of Dottie’s résumé. Dottie is dog-friendly, she currently lives with another dog and she has shared her home with him for many years, but their arrangement works because he likes being bossed around and is willing to respect her rules. Dottie's foster find it hilarious because if love is being given out, Dottie wants it to be her turn no matter what the circumstances. She isn't mean, just insistent. Simply, she is not looking for a wrestling partner or a busy canine social life, and her version of the happiest home would be where she is the star of a one-woman all-star show. Dottie has also lived peacefully with cats, and her foster shared they often can be found napping together. When she met our house cat she was very eager to meet him. Because of that difference, we would not consider her broadly cat friendly. A home with a calm, aloof, dog-savvy cat may be possible with slow introductions and thoughtful management, but a pet-free home would offer the most straightforward fit. Dottie Darling is not looking for a complicated life. She would like her people nearby, the temperature comfortable, a squeaky toy available upon request and a couch with enough room for one very spotted snuggler. In return, she will provide affection, personality, excellent lounging companionship and regular reminders that being a senior does not mean you have to stop being silly. Penny is a super smart girl who loves to learn and do activities. She would do best in a 1 dog house with some space, like in a rural area. Her current owners love her very much but their busy schedule doesn’t match with her active needs. See Penny’s website here: https://foundapenny.dog/

FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Spot is an adorable 6-month-old (DOB 2/22/2026) purebred Dalmatian who is looking for his perfect forever family. Spot has shown signs of hearing impairment/deafness, which is not uncommon for Dalmatians. He is an incredibly loving and sweet boy, and will thrive in a home that has experience with deaf dogs, or is open and committed to learning. Spot came to us with his siblings from a sanctuary in Northern California, where he spent the first part of his life on a farm around animals of all kinds. He is well socialized with people and animals, and very friendly and loving! Since he grew up on a farm, big city life is new to him. He will do great with a family that will continue socialization and exposure. He loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another playful dog friend, especially to follow since he is hearing impaired. Being a puppy, his forever family will need to be prepared for all things puppy, potty and basic obedience training, etc. Spot would do best in a home with a fenced yard to safely roam and play. Spot loves attention from people, and would love a forever family that will include him in adventures and shower him with love. Spot bonds deeply and is very sweet, his forever family will be very lucky to have him! Dalmatians can be high energy, and he will need a family that will be active with him. He enjoys walks and exploring, and would love a family to adventure with. Spot is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $650.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED ❤️ Louie (FKA: Bronson) is a ~1 year old, 35lb, Dalmatian mix. He came to us as a stray from California. We do not know his history, but when he came to us he was completely shut down, terrified of people and underweight. He will require a special forever home that is quiet, calm, and can provide the environment he needs to decompress, gain confidence and trust, and come out of his shell. He has already made great improvements in his foster homes, and is opening up and trusting slowly! Bronson spent all of his time in a crate when he first came to us, outside of bathroom breaks, as he was absolutely terrified to leave that ‘safe space’. In his foster home, he has a guest room all to himself where the crate door is left open, and he will now venture out and explore the room, following his foster parents around cautiously but curiously, with his favorite spot being cuddled up on the couch. He is curious, and interested in people, he just needs time. He does take treats from your hand and is starting to relax and enjoy being pet! Bronson is house-trained, and crate-trained. He hit a major milestone recently, going on his first short walk outside, and now enjoys daily walks going further each time! In the kennel environment he would not walk on leash, and would look for any exit or place to hide. He has also started to play with toys (which he loves!) and is learning how to be a puppy when he feels safe and secure. While in our care, we have had Bronson with many dogs and he has largely been disinterested because he was so scared. He currently lives with two medium dogs and has been kept separate right now while he is decompressing and learning to trust his foster parents, but he is curious about the other dogs! He would likely benefit from a calm, confident dog in the home to help him feel comfortable and show him how to dog. But would not do well at this time with a hyper or pushy dog. We have see great improvements in Bronson during his short time in foster care, and are confident that with a continued environment that is calm, loving, and willing to let him progress at his pace, he will thrive. He is a very sweet boy and will make an amazing dog for the right home! He has shown that in his foster home he does want to be around people once he can trust them, and he will likely bond deeply to his forever family. Bronson would do fine in a free standing home or apartment, but will need a quieter neighborhood. He would not do well living in a busy city environment, or an apartment that is not on the first floor. No young kids due to him being fearful and skittish, but he loved the teenage girl in his first foster home! Bronson is neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.
