Meet Jester! ❤️Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and through no fault of his own, Jester has found himself back with DHS after a change in his family. His previous family loved him enough to recognize that finding him a home better suited to his needs was what was best for him. Originally from Texas, Jester was adopted in 2022 and is now hoping to find his true forever home.Jester is a big-hearted boy who could benefit from a healthy weight-loss plan to help him get back to feeling his very best. He's previously lived with children and other dogs. When meeting new canine friends, he does best with slow, proper introductions to help everyone start off on the right paw.This good boy is also a great car companion and enjoys going for rides! He's crate trained, although he hasn't needed to use one in his previous home because he's been such a well-behaved gentleman.But perhaps Jester's best quality is his loving personality. He's a cuddly, affectionate boy who enjoys being close to his people and soaking up all the love he can get.Jester is looking for a family willing to invest the time, patience, care, and commitment he deserves. In return, you'll get a loyal companion, a professional cuddle buddy, and a whole lot of love.Could Jester be the missing piece of your family? Hi, I'm Winifred! I'm a 3-year-old female Plott Hound mix! I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Affectionate, Playful Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I can be shy at first so I appreciate slow and calm introductions. Once I get comfortable with you I'm super affectionate! I love exploring outside with my nose and speaking my mind. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it, a consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: I am required to go to a home with children 12 years and older to ensure my boundaries are respected. I should do fine with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats.
