Story
Meet Indy – The Adventure Puppy with a Heart of Gold If you're looking for a dog who is equal parts adventure partner, cuddle buddy, and class clown, Indy is ready to apply for the position. This happy-go-lucky puppy is full of life, curiosity, and enthusiasm. Indy loves exploring the world, meeting new people, learning new things, and spending time with her favorite humans. She's incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always looking for her next adventure. As a young working-breed type puppy, Indy thrives when her mind and body are kept busy. Whether she's going for a run, learning a new skill, playing with toys, or exploring a new trail, she's happiest when she has a job to do. Indy loves: Walks and outdoor adventures Running and exploring Car rides Tug toys and playtime Playing with other dogs Training sessions Chewing bones Sniffing new places Zoomies Cuddling with her people Learning new things Indy is already showing just how smart she is. She is very food motivated and is currently working on E-collar training, where she has been responding exceptionally well. She loves learning and thrives when given guidance and structure. A few things to know: Indy has very high puppy energy and likely working-dog energy She needs daily exercise and mental stimulation She can pull on leash when excited She may jump up when greeting people She loves meeting new people and dogs She can be vocal when excited Like many puppies, she occasionally sneaks off with a stray sock The good news? Indy is doing wonderfully with her routine. She is well potty trained, does well in her crate with structure, and has never been destructive outside of chewing appropriate bones. While she'd much rather be hanging out with her family than spending time in her crate, she understands the routine and continues to improve. Indy absolutely loves other dogs and plays very well with them. She has also made great progress with toy-sharing and has shown significant improvement with some early puppy possessiveness around toys. She is not food aggressive and does well during meal times. Indy loves children, though because she's still a puppy and gets excited, she may accidentally knock over smaller children during play. Three words that describe Indy best? ❤️ Energetic ❤️ Cuddly ❤️ Playful 📍 Location: Byron, MN Indy is currently being fostered in Byron, Minnesota. Indy would be the perfect Doggy Day Out companion for someone active who enjoys adventure, exploration, and spending time with a dog that truly wants to experience everything life has to offer. Whether you're heading out for a run, exploring a new trail, or simply looking for a best friend to spend the day with, Indy is ready to join the fun. If you have an adventurous spirit and room on your couch for a cuddle bug at the end of the day, Indy can't wait to meet you! 🐾❤️🏃‍♀️ To apply to adopt Indy, please go to www.tailsofhopewi.org.
