Bruno is handsome hunk who is 100% guaranteed to win your heart! Here’s what one volunteer said about him:“I love Bruno so much! He’s calm, friendly, and mellow- just an easygoing guy to spend time with. We often explore the desert together and he loves taking in the sights and smells. He’s responsive to his handler and enjoys pets and affection. When I return him to his kennel, I always get some good smooches and Bruno will even flip over for a belly rub. Such a sweet big boy!”Bruno has had a revolving door of kennelmates and has been great with them all. When meeting other dogs in playgroup Bruno has been social and playful. Story
Piper was the main character in the show Orange is the New Black…not that we`re comparing kennel life to prison life. I mean sure, there are some similarities… you spend most of your time indoors with a couple of daily exercise breaks, you don`t get to choose your roommate, and the food can be a bit monotonous. But, you don`t have to wear orange! In fact most of the inmates don`t wear any clothes at all, because, you know… they`re dogs. Also, you don`t have to break the law to end up in the shelter- Piper certainly didn`t! To top it all off, Piper can leave anytime- she just needs to find a family first! #FreePiperPiper was originally adopted through a rescue group and was in a home for about a year and half before first coming to the shelter in 2022. She was housebroken in that home and would politely bork when she needed to be let out to do her business. She slept at the foot of her people`s bed and they told us that she loves attention, and to run and play fetch. Her only request is that she not be disturbed while sleeping- a girl needs her beauty rest!! Piper was adopted, but then her family moved, so she’s back on the search for her happily ever after. In her adoptive home, she was described as affectionate, playful, friendly and cuddly. She was also housebroken and crate trained and reportedly did well with kids. In a long-term foster home Piper did well with multiple young kids and was described as happy and affectionate. She was again housebroken and slept near her foster person at night.Piper also has many fans at the shelter- here’s what they’ve had to say:“Piper is a sweet and smart girl and I love taking her out. She’s attentive and makes great eye contact. She’s a great pup.”“I adore Piper. She is so incredibly sweet, easy to handle, fun to spend time with- just an all-around very good girl. She is great with other dogs and staff even uses her to help evaluate new dogs, so she seems like she would easily fit into most any family. Piper is still playful at seven years old, but I suspect would also love lots of nap time on the couch. Someone will be so lucky to add her to their family!”Piper shares her kennel and has been social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She may do best in a home without small dogs. Ask to meet Piper today!!
