Story
Anthony Ivo is a supervillain featured in a number of DC Comics. He is a mad scientist who is the creator of the android villain, Amazo. Ivo used his own scientific discoveries to make himself nearly immortal and invulnerable, causing him to become monstrous in the process… We have a sweet baby named Ivo who thinks his namesake sounds like a pretty scary guy. He wonders how in the world he got the same name! The only explanation is that he was named on opposites day at the shelter. We’re pretty sure that if a comic book was written to feature our Ivo, he would be the handsome, good-natured hero who saves the day! At least his volunteer friends think so:“Ivo is very sweet and is a beautiful dog. He`s so smart and would benefit from having an owner that loves to hike, bike, run, or briskly walk. Once he has some energy out he`s attentive, loving, and happy to be by your side. Shelter life is tough on Ivo because he`s so smart and wants to be out and about with his person.”“Ivo is super handsome and he gives the most mesmerizing eye contact. Easy to leash and as soon as he gets to the play yard, he starts zooming around. He’s a fun and goofy pup and I love watching him play. I love this boy.`Ivo was found as a stray and his finder reported that he was very sweet and friendly with other dogs and people, including kiddos. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ivo has SO MUCH love to give and he is waiting patiently for someone to save the day by taking him home! Come meet him today!

Story
Billow is a bouncy boy who first arrived at PACC as a stray. During a brief stay in a home, he did well with other dogs, was house trained, and was described as affectionate, playful, and smart. He loves toys and wants nothing more than to be by his person’s side. “Billow knows sit and paw and I didn’t teach that- he already knew it. He slept in the bed with me or on the couch. Loves to play fetch with his squeaky balls.”Here’s what some of Billow’s volunteer friends have said:“Billow is a sweet little boy! I met for the first time today and he was very friendly in his kennel, easy to leash up and bring over to a play yard. He’s a happy-go-lucky pup who just seems content with whatever is going on. He spent some time in my lap getting pets, he spent some time trying to get his kennelmate to play with him, and he spent some time just exploring the play yard. He watched curiously as other dogs passed by and did not bark or react. He’s a sweet, sweet baby.”“Billow is just a youngster who can be quite rambunctious. He’s very sweet, knows how to sit, and takes treats gently.”Billow shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. CENSUS DEADLINE 5PM 12/10/24Name: SandyAnimal ID: A820935Age: 3 years Weight: 57 lbs. About: Sandy is an energetic, happy young dog who is looking for his forever home. He spent close to a year in a foster home before returning to the shelter and we learned the following:- He lived with another dog and did great - He was housebroken - He is an active, playful pup who will benefit from training and structure - He is well- behaved when left home alone, snoozing the day away- He is smart, alert, and curious - He is sweet and loves to be with his people- He loves toys- He loves to runSandy will thrive in an active household with owners who can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He`s a smart and eager-to-please dog who will benefit from training and positive reinforcement. Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“I have a thing for brown dogs and Sandy fits the bill. He is the whole package in my eyes. We walk in the desert together, with no pulling or jumpiness. I find him to be such a nice walker. He turns to me now and then looking for a treat, but I tell him to keep walking and he continues on. I haven`t seen any reactivity or mouthiness from him any time I have had him out. He`s actually one of the most enjoyable walks of my night. I find Sandy to be an awesome companion and thoroughly enjoy any time I can spend with him.”While Sandy can be good with other dogs his size and larger, he has a high prey drive and should not be in a home with cats or small animals. He`s also prone to destructive behavior when bored or stressed, so crate training and plenty of enrichment are essential. Due to an old fracture from when he first came to the shelter, Sandy will need joint supplements to keep him comfortable for life. Sandy is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving and patient family. Please ask about how you can help Sandy! Available for foster care or adoption through PACC.Adoption Process:Interested parties:• Must visit PACC before the 5:00 PM December 10, 2024, deadline to meet with an adoption or foster counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit.

Story
In 1956 Buddy Holly and The Crickets introduced their song “Peggy Sue” to the world. The sweet lyrics and catchy tune made for a chart-topping hit:“Peggy Sue, Peggy SueOh how my heart yearns for youOh Peggy, my Peggy SueOh well, I love you gal, yes, I love you Peggy Sue”Well, we’ve got our own beloved pup named Sue here in the shelter! Sue spent about a month in a foster home where she was a well- behaved, perfect houseguest. She is house and crate trained, walks well on leash, and is a super friendly gal who loves tummy rubs and chasing a ball. “Sue is a pleasant dog who likes her walks and likes to be near you. She is wonderful in the house and she`s great on walks!”Here’s what Sue’s friends at the shelter have said:“Oh Sue, I love you! Sue is an incredibly affectionate, loving, sweetie sweetie sweetie middle-aged gal! She loves to be out in a play yard, running and playing with her kennel mate, but especially getting love from her volunteer friends. She`s a beautiful gal who will climb up in your lap if you let her, but she`s also content just to sit by your side and get pets.”“Sue is a friendly middle-aged gal who has SO MUCH love to give! She’s always so happy to see her volunteer friends in the morning and she greets us with her sweet waggy tail and big smile. Once in the play yard she loves to trot around the yard with her kennelmate before soliciting lots of love and attention from the handler in the yard. She’s a spry gal who loves attention and affection.”Sue shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She has some arthritis and is looking for a family who will continue her (affordable) supplement and medication regimen to keep her pain managed. Song lyrics may have been simpler back in the 50s, but we think they still ring true:“Peggy Sue, Peggy SuePretty, pretty, pretty, pretty Peggy SueOh Peggy, my Peggy SueOh well, I love you gal and I need you Peggy Sue”Ask to meet Sue today!!

Ruby is a 1 y.o. girl full of love, ready to find a loving family. She’s was found as a stray so not much is known. Foster Notes: dog friendly, great with small dogs . Super sweet and chill. Good with people, never aggressive and not a barker. Kennel trained. Energy level is medium, half couch potato half active Good on leash. She`s a 40 lb young doggie so she needs someone that moderately active, she needs to work out and decompress all her energy. Someone who is patient and has time to train her . We are working on her potty training and she’s been improving massively in the short time we’ve had her, she does great on pee pads.

Story
Blue was found roaming alone in the desert. She was very scared and apprehensive. We brought her to PAC to get checked out. There she was chipped and given a couple shots. Although we only intended to foster her for a few days, she has been with us since August 2024. We have two other small dogs that she is great with. She is also great with my eleven and seven year old kids. She does very well on walks and loves to run off leash. We do not know how long she was alone in the desert, or what her life was like previously. She has a fear of males (until she warms up to them). She does not like the rain, especially thunderstorms. Although she is fine with kids they would have to understand to be gentle with her. Blue is extremely timid, and will need a lot of patience. She will need someone to work with her on a daily basis.
