Story
Name: Vader Breed: Doberman Pincher Sex: Neutered Male Age: almost 2 years old Weight: about 85-90 pounds Medical Needs : None Housebroken: Yes, prefers to have company. He might come in too early if he has to worry about your safety while he goes potty. Crate Trained: Yes. He will let you know if he needs out. Quiet over night. He does protest in a pitiful wine to be closer to his people. Dobermans aka master velcro dogs. You never have to be alone again. Good in the car: One of the best boys in the truck... He just lays down and is calm. On long rides he will stand up and look around every so often and lay back down. Good on a leash: Yes. Lots of energy but Stays with you. Haven't seen any reactivity. Energy Level: If the scale is 1-10... Hes anywhere between 12 and 4... when you first let him out of his kennel hes a 12... super zoomies.. Will totally wipe you out if your not paying attention. He is also perfectly happy to be a couch potatoe....as long as hes with you. Need a fenced in yard: No leash walks are fine. BUT... Dobermans are high energy they do better in your home if you do a high energy activities with them... Frisbee, jogging, bike runs, agility, any training they love a job. Dog Friendly: Slow introductions will be a must with ALL new dog friends. We know he used to have a small dog friend in the home, and after being with us for about a month and a half, he’s now able to play with his female foster sisters. Vader has also done well with dog friendly pups at events!! Dominate male dogs (or any super assertive dog probably, male or female), are going to be a NO for him. His motto in life is don’t bring no smoke, won’t be no smoke. If yes, does your foster need another dog in the home: Nope the only thing he requires is to have a person or family to love him. Cat Friendly: Nope!!!! He may be holding a grudge against the feline nation Kid Friendy: Has met children in public and didnt seem to mind them but....remember the 12/10 energy level... Any age children should always have adult supervision. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 7 and up would be the best fit Special Traits: Vader has been thru alot in his short life. This foster home is the third family we know of and he was in a shelter for a while as well. He is in the age of being a puppy one minute and a guard dog the next. He is a super love bug and is content to be anywhere his person is especially if hes getting lovings. He greets me every morning with his but up in the air and his nub tail shaking for all its got. He likes to carry his bone or toys around very proudly to show everyone. However if there is a stranger in the house he will make sure they know he takes his job as protector seriously. He will need a home with his human being a calm confident leader. I would strongly recommend basic obedience class as hes a big strong boy with lots of energy... he does know sit, down and wait. Foster Location: Felton, De Application can be found here https://www.grrde.org/adoptionapplication If you have an application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask for your application to be pulled. ##2658602##

Gunner is 4, will be turning 5 on December 17th, I got him from a friend. he will need a place with a lot of space so he can run and someone who has the time to give him lots of attention. He is a sweet boy and he loves Lazar pointers and McDonalds. He is very energetic and loving, he loves to cuddle and get pets.
