Story
Filly is a 9‑month‑old, 60‑lb Doberman mix who bounced into our lives after being found as a stray here in Philadelphia. She was brought to ACCT Philly by police, and we were lucky enough to transfer her into our care where her personality quickly stole everyone’s hearts. To put it simply: Filly is a total clown. She’s happy, social, affectionate, and absolutely adores her volunteers. This girl wakes up every day ready to have fun and makes it her personal mission to spread joy wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a dog who brings laughter, energy, and nonstop love, Filly is your girl. Filly does well in playgroups with other dogs and enjoys canine friends, though her play style is best described as “bull in a china shop.” She’s young, enthusiastic, and a bit rough-and-tumble, so dog-savvy companions (and supervision) are important. Filly will thrive in an active home that can keep up with her zest for life—think walks, playtime, training, and adventures. In return, she’ll bring her future family endless fun, affection, and a whole lot of sunshine. If you’re ready for a young, energetic dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Filly can’t wait to meet you. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Story
PLEASE NOTE: We are a Texas-based rescue. This dog is currently in Texas and will be transported to your state once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Kenny! Hi! I'm Kenny, an 18-month-old Doberman Pinscher/Catahoula mix with a heart as big as my goofy personality. If you're looking for a best friend who's always ready to play, learn, and cuddle, I think we might be the perfect match! Want to know the quickest way to my heart? Throw a ball! Seriously—I could chase one all day if you'd let me. And if you happen to have a treat, let me show you my signature move... I spin! I've perfected it, and I'm pretty sure it's impossible not to smile when you see it. I'm not just fun—I'm a gentleman, too. I'm crate trained, house trained, and I know how to be a respectful member of the family. I get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, so I'd fit right into just about any home. When playtime is over, I have one special request: scratch my forehead. That's my favorite spot, and I'll happily lean in for as many forehead rubs as you're willing to give. It's my favorite way to unwind after a day of adventures. I'm the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you're doing. Whether it's playing fetch in the backyard, going for walks, hanging out with the family, or relaxing at home, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. So, what do you think? If you're looking for a loyal, playful, well-mannered companion with a few fun tricks and a whole lot of love to give, I'd love to come home with you. I'll bring the toys—you bring the forehead scratches! 🐾💙

Story
Meet handsome ✨WILSON✨(FNA Fresh Prince). Wilson came to ACCT Philly as a stray on 11/19 with wounds to his private areas. Since coming into ACCT’s care, he has been spending time healing and socializing in his foster home. This young pup is under two years old and is fully housebroken! He LOVES chewing on bones and enrichment toys…in fact it’s his favorite thing! Though his past is unclear, this sweet boy has come a long way in foster care and is now seeking his forever home! Though he is initially shy to strangers, once trust is built, he is the most loyal companion! Wilson has gotten along with an American bully mix, shepherd and a French bulldog, so he may thrive with another doggie companion in the home! However, slow introductions are key (he will never be the kind of guy to go into a dog park and make friends). This handsome man is seeking an adult only home (no children) that is an experienced adopter with fearful dogs. If you’re interested in meeting Wilson, please email brooke@acctphilly.org after submitting an adoption application on ACCT’s website !

Story
Hi there! I`m Bruno, the shelter`s resident comedian. Imagine a cartoon dog that`s jumped right off the screen—that`s me! I love playing, though I sometimes I get distracted by butterflies. My days are filled with goofy antics that keep everyone laughing. If you`re looking for a buddy to bring joy and a bit of silliness to your life, I`m your guy. Why adopt me? Well, everyone needs a friend who knows how to make them smile, right?

Story
HOLA!! My name is REXLY and I am here to let you know more about me!! I am such a gentleman, and am not forward at all!! In fact, I take time to get to know you and your home and family. i am respectful like that!! My favorite rescue chick has this to say about me, "Rexly takes time to sniff around & explore a new place b4 choosing a spot to relax. He makes friends pretty quickly with gentle pets & maybe a tasty treat. He likes being brushed, is very gentle & calm. Rexly will be a perfect companion to go on walks or car rides or to just watch a movie & relax with- now that he is older a couch potato he is becoming ;)" Rexly has lived with other dogs b4, in the rescue and when he was adopted 3 years ago. He and his buddy ended up coming back to the rescue because their human mom got cancer and passed away last year :( The rescue people took me back and even brought my friend Tumble along! He has been adopted and NOW IT IS MY TURN!!!! I am a very good boy and if you have a female dog I would love slow intro and its important to know the breed or a single dog home suits him just fine!! Rexly is house, leash & crate trained is the sweetest boy who just wants to live his days out in a real home!! Not too much to ask for such a great great boy!! PS: like other older folks I have a couple of lumps that show up in silly places, but don't worry, they are FAT deposits!!! LOL Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
