Story
Winnie is a 3.5 year old female Doberman mix. She has lived with our family (2 kids, 2 adults, one other dog and 2 cats) since she was 12 weeks old. Winnie is loving and playful and protective of her family. She gets along well with our other dog in the household and our two cats. Winnie enjoys taking walks, playing fetch, getting belly rubs, chewing on her toys, and being around her family. She plays well with our other dog and they can get pretty rowdy, but they will settle down. Winnie is crate trained. She is anxious around strangers and unpredictable movements from young children. When Winnie is anxious or fearful she can be reactive and has lashed out. Winnie has undergone special obedience training for reactive dogs and has been trained using an e-collar, which she responds to really well. However our youngest child has special needs and does not understand the boundaries that Winnie needs in order for her to feel safe, and that has created an unsafe environment for them both.

Story
Cesar How cute is this guy! Those short little Basset hound legs with the look of a Dobermann. He has the cutest personality and looks to match. Cesar is a very good boy considering all he has gone through. He was abandoned in an apartment by his previous owner and was surrendered to our rescue from the police department where he spent a few days as they tried to find him a good place to go, because they knew he deserved better. He is super kid friendly and dog friendly. He loves to play and has energy to keep up. He is a good couch buddy and loves attention. Cear LOVES car rides and does so well in the car. He does have a weird habit where he tries to get your attention by grabbing your hands with him mouth, but we think this is from lack of attention and love. He just wants to be pet and loved on. Overtime, I think this habit can be broke. Cesar is fun and will provide your family with years of laughs and happiness. He is fully vetted, microchipped and is available to you via ground transport. You can't go wrong with this guy, he is the full package!

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Danbury, Glastonbury, or Dayville CT. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Nyla Female, Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever mix, Age - 3 years old, Weight 54 pounds Nyla is a people-pleaser – the sweetest, most affectionate pup you could ever hope to meet. She has a heart full of love, perfectly content being the star of your personal petting zoo, yet equally happy curling up quietly into a surprisingly small ball if you're busy. While she's not particularly a social butterfly, she lives in harmony with cats and dogs in her foster home. With a personality that's nothing short of perfection, Nyla is calm, cuddly, and craves your affection. Her love language is touch which she communicates by burying her face in your hands, silently asking for more love and pets. Nyla has impeccable manners and a gentle demeanor. Crate trained and obedient, Nyla understands "kennel" like a pro although she's an angel during the day, never showing any interest in mischief, and loves to nap in adorably compact curls. Living in the south with frequent afternoon thunderstorms has been challenging for Nyla, given her fear of storms. Nyla needs a patient person who can gently navigate her through her storm anxieties and a change of scenery with more stable weather patterns. Nyla is a Doberman/Labrador mix with an athletic build.  She’s trim with long legs like a teen that never grew out of the lanky, awkward stage.  Her personality and demeanor couldn’t be further from the stereotype of a Doberman.  She is a total lovebug. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, offering pets and cuddles, Nyla is your girl.
