Story
Ava is a very spontaneous hyper 9 month old Doberman/German Shepard who loves to be around family and friends. She loves going on long walks, and plays with her favorite toys. She protects with the correct demeanor. Interacting with other dogs has never been a concern, she’s quiet, barely barks. She knows tricks, sit, both paws, and touch “kiss on hand”. She’s great at cuddling. She loves children of all ages. Ava is a great family dog, she is teething though so she likes to gnaw on things other than her toys.

Story
Muneca is a very sweet girl who loves to snuggle! Muneca was a stray found in Mexico. She loves women and bonds quickly but can be reserved with men at first until she's comfortable. Treats and scratches definitely speed up the process! She also loves her crate and will go in on her own to chill with the door open. She's pretty high energy and will definitely require regular exercise and play time. She likes stuffed toys and will flip them up in the air and run around being silly to entertain herself. She's been very friendly (lots of licks) with both her foster siblings and has especially bonded with her male foster sibling. She's housebroken and loves to go on walks!  is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##1819575##

Story
Meet Zeus. This cutie is a 6-month old, male Doberman. If you are a big dog person, Zeus is your boy. Sweet and playful, this is one gorgeous puppy. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He should not be in home with small dogs but would do well with other large sized dogs. Zeus is not good with cats or other small animals. His foster mom recommends a 6ft fence for any yard he will occupy. He has climbed a chain link fence in his foster home. He’s very very active and always on the go. He loves working and training. Would be great at agility or some kind of sport. Zeus does have separation anxiety and would benefit with having a dog his size or bigger to play with in the household. He’s not destructive. Overall, Zeus does great in crate. Zeus is growing out of his mouthy phase so he's much better with kids than when he was a few months old. He currently lives with a 2 1/2 yr old and 6 yr old and is respectful of them. Vaccinated and neutered. Ready for his new home. If you are interested in finding out more about Zeus, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Zeus is being fostered in Northborough. The adoption fee is $650. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
