He’s a loyal, loving boy who truly thrives when he can be the center of attention — the only big baby in the home. Zeus prefers an adult-only household and would do best as the only dog. He does not like children or other dogs, and his reaction to cats is unknown. A few years ago, Zeus had a negative experience when a child jumped on his back and pulled his tail. Since then, he has been uncomfortable around kids. While Zeus has never bitten, he will growl when he feels stressed or unsafe, so a calm, child-free environment is essential. In the right home, Zeus is a devoted companion who wants nothing more than love, stability, and someone who understands his boundaries. His family is making the difficult decision to rehome him as they prepare to welcome a baby and want to ensure Zeus is placed in a situation where he can feel secure and relaxed. Zeus would be a wonderful match for an experienced, adult-only home looking for a loyal companion to spoil and love. ❤️ *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
