Story
Meet Schultz! Schultz is a handsome Doberman Pinscher puppy (DOB: 8/31/25) who currently weighs about 43 lbs - and he’s still growing! He was adopted as a young pup but was sadly returned when his adopter discovered an allergy and realized that a lively Doberman puppy was more than their household could manage. Now Schultz is ready for a fresh start with a family that understands and loves his breed. This sweet boy is all puppy - playful, energetic, and full of personality. Like most young dogs, he is still teething and can be a bit mouthy when overstimulated, so he will do best with older, dog-savvy children and a family experienced with Doberman behavior. Schultz has already shown good house manners for his age and is crate trained. He knows basic commands like “sit,” is very food and treat motivated, and is eager to keep learning. Schultz enjoys meeting new people, playing with toys, and being active. He has attended doggy daycare and done well, loves trips to the dog park, and would thrive in a home with other active dogs that are tolerant of typical puppy antics. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. He also prefers not to be disturbed while sleeping - who can blame him! This fun-loving pup is looking for an active family ready to continue his training, keep him mentally and physically stimulated, and help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s meant to be. If you’re searching for a loyal, energetic companion to share adventures with, Schultz is ready to love you furever! Shultz can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until the sterilization surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.  Shultz is:Current on age appropriate vaccinations DewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedWill be scheduled for neuter surgery at one of partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age.ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Blair is a gentle little girl, but does love to run and play with other dogs. She has done amazing with her house and crate training. She is so deserving of a wonderful home to call her own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Story
**If you are interested in adopting Zeus, please contact Paolo at roz-ross-cabinets@sbcglobal.net ** Zeus is a 10-year-old Doberman who has been with his family since he was a puppy. He’s a loyal, loving boy who truly thrives when he can be the center of attention — the only big baby in the home. Zeus prefers an adult-only household and would do best as the only dog. He does not like children or other dogs, and his reaction to cats is unknown. A few years ago, Zeus had a negative experience when a child jumped on his back and pulled his tail. Since then, he has been uncomfortable around kids. While Zeus has never bitten, he will growl when he feels stressed or unsafe, so a calm, child-free environment is essential. In the right home, Zeus is a devoted companion who wants nothing more than love, stability, and someone who understands his boundaries. His family is making the difficult decision to rehome him as they prepare to welcome a baby and want to ensure Zeus is placed in a situation where he can feel secure and relaxed. Zeus would be a wonderful match for an experienced, adult-only home looking for a loyal companion to spoil and love. ❤️ *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. Please use your best judgement when deciding to meet. Any questions or comments regarding this pet should be directed to the owner listed. Again, this is not a pet affiliated with Oakland County Animal Shelter. This program was created to help residents of Oakland County needing placement of a loving pet and hopefully avoiding a stressful shelter environment.

Story
Meet Letty — a 6-year-old Doberman with a gentle heart, soulful eyes, and a spirit that’s ready to shine again. Letty has been through a lot of change lately, but she’s handled it all with quiet grace. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her people — the kind of dog who leans in for love and gives it right back tenfold. Letty is fully house trained, easy to have around, and has shown nothing but sweetness toward other animals. She’s not destructive, doesn’t bark excessively, and simply wants to be part of a family again. Her hips are a little tender, so she’d do best in a home without many stairs, where she can rest comfortably and move at her own pace. About Letty: - 6 years old, around 74 lbs - Gentle, loyal, and affectionate - House trained and well-behaved - Good with other animals - Calm and loving temperament - Would thrive in a home with minimal stairs Letty is the definition of a good dog — steady, kind, and full of quiet love. She’s ready to find the soft landing she deserves and the people who will make her feel safe, comfortable, and cherished every day. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
