Story
My name is Zelda and I am estimated to be 3-5 years of age. I was dumped in the middle of nowhere and left to fend for myself and had been starved prior to that. It took a team of people to capture me and get me to safety. I ran from all of them at first because I was so afraid.   Once I was captured, I knew I had found a safe place. I calmed down and rode to the shelter happily with my rescuers. At the shelter I was given a soft place to lay down where I had warmth and food and fresh water. They took care of my health and prepared me to go to rescue for a new home. I am so grateful for all who helped me when I was in such desperate need! I have shown my gratitude in kisses and snuggles. I am ready for a forever home, one where I will get lots of love and food and water and any care that I need. I have gotten along with other dogs I have met. I have not been cat tested. I am eager to learn and to please and to love. I am a beautiful petite girl who just wants to love and be loved. If you are interested in me, please review and the adoption rules. If you decide you would like to adopt her, please fill out an application form.   Note from the rescue:         We are so grateful for everyone involved in getting Zelda to safety and advocating for her. Thank you so much for the difference you made in her life and in all the animals whose lives you touch. All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted. We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes. Please Note:In most cases we require a fenced yard.We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Copyright © 2007 - Omaha Doberman RescueFor more information or to fill out an adoption request please visithttp://www.doberescue-ne.org/May 7, 2026, 12:46 am

Story
NEW ARRIVAL: Meet Sterling!    Sterling is approximately 2 years old, and he’s bringing ALL the fun, energy, and sweetness you’d expect from a young Doberman.   Here’s what we know so far:  VERY playful – zoomies, toys and plenty of playtime or exercise  Incredibly sweet – he deserves commitmet. He truly just wants to love and be loved  Dog friendly – does best with a dog close to his size  Not cat tested – so we are recommending no cats at this time  Sterling comes to us as a neglect case, and while that’s part of his past, it does NOT define his future. What it does mean is that he will need a family willing to give him the time, patience, and structure he deserves to truly thrive.   His ideal home will:  Commit to training  Have prior Doberman or similar breed experience preferred  Be ready for a fun, active, and sometimes goofy companion   Sterling is at that perfect age where, with the right leadership and love, he will absolutely blossom into an incredible, loyal companion.   Welcome to safety, Sterling If you are interested in adopting Sterling, please fill out an application form located here on our website:   Adoption Form All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. Story
My name is AJ and I am estimated to be between 3-5 years old.    I feel so blessed that I was able to get into a rescue after being picked up as a stray and sent to a shelter.    Shelters and rescues all over the country are full so I am very lucky to have been rescued. I am an all natural boy with a full tail.    Sometimes I like to chase it! I am friendly and playful.   I am an adolescent male who needs training and patience.    I need to go to a home with people who have current Doberman experience who have the time and patience to work with me. I cannot go into a home with little dogs or cats.
