Story
Misty is my mother-in-law’s 13-year-old dog. When Mom moved to memory care, a friend began fostering her, and it’s been a wonderful change. With other dogs around, Misty has gained strength, learned to sit, and even started to play. Before that, she lived quietly with cats and had little attention after my father-in-law passed. She picked up a few habits (pottying, learning the doggy door), but she’s made great progress and just needs a bit of consistency—she may need to go out once or twice more than other dogs.Misty is incredibly sweet and loves attention—she’ll look right into your soul. With more activity, she’s also doing much better physically. Her foster home is available through the end of April. We would take her in a heartbeat, but we’re at our apartment’s pet limit. We care deeply about her and just want to find her the loving, stable home she deserves for the time she has.

Story
✨ NEW ARRIVAL ALERT: Meet Jaden! ✨ Jaden just turned ONE year old, which means he’s right in that fun, goofy, full-of-life Doberman stage. Equal parts athlete, comedian, and professional cuddle seeker. This young guy is: Very playful and ready for adventure Good with other dogs Cats: unknown Full of that classic Doberman energy and intelligence Because Jaden is still very much a teenage Doberman, his future family must: ✔️ Have current or prior experience with Dobermans or similar working breeds ✔️ Commit to training (this is a must!) ✔️ Be ready to provide structure, exercise, and lots of love At just one year old, Jaden is the perfect age to grow into an amazing lifelong companion with the right guidance. With consistency and training, he’s going to be someone’s incredible best friend! If you feel your heart jumping out of your chest and you are interested in adopting Jaden, please fill out an application form.  The adoption form can be found here: Adoption Form - Doberman Rescue of NebraskaAll of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted. We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes. Please Note:In most cases we require a fenced yard.We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Copyright © 2007 - Omaha Doberman RescueFor more information or to fill out an adoption request please visithttp://www.doberescue-ne.org/April 9, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
My name is AJ and I am estimated to be between 3-5 years old.    I feel so blessed that I was able to get into a rescue after being picked up as a stray and sent to a shelter.    Shelters and rescues all over the country are full so I am very lucky to have been rescued. I am an all natural boy with a full tail.    Sometimes I like to chase it! I am friendly and playful.   I am an adolescent male who needs training and patience.    I need to go to a home with people who have current Doberman experience who have the time and patience to work with me. I cannot go into a home with little dogs or cats. If you are interested in me please go to www.doberescue-ne.orgAll of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked.
