Story
Make way for Skye! Skye is a female Doberman (b. 8/2020) looking to find her home. She is housebroken and knows some commands. She is looking for a place where she will be the only pet.  She does not do well around other animals or kids.  She is protective, especially if strangers come to the door unannounced.  She is used to being kenneled if there are strangers or others around.  Skye needs a secure fenced yard with room for her to run and play. If you're looking for a loveable and well behaved girl, fill out an application for Skye today! The suggested adoption donation for Skye is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owner,s find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##2084653##

Story
This is Henry!  He is a Doberman Pinscher, born October 2020.  Henry is an amazing dog!  He is looking for a home with older kids - he loves boys and listens quite well to his current 10 year old bestie.  He would absolutely be someone's best friend!  He just needs someone who can work with him and help build his confidence so he can learn how to be calm.  Right now, he's living in an apartment and just doesn't have enough space to run and play.  He needs a fenced yard and he will let you know when he needs to go out for a potty break. Henry grew up with other dogs, but because of the space restraints - he barks at them sometimes.  Once he feels comfortable in a new place with room to spread out, this probably won't be an issue.  He seems to listen better to men, but lately has done well with a female and older girls.  Because of his size and energy level, kids should be older (age 10+).  He gets a little jumpy around little kids.  Don't let his size fool you, he still likes to cuddle and would love to be your lap dog!!!  If you love Dobermans, you will certainly fall in love with Henry!  Bonus points if you have Doberman experience.  :)  The suggested adoption donation for Henry is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
My name is AJ and I am estimated to be between 3-5 years old.    I feel so blessed that I was able to get into a rescue after being picked up as a stray and sent to a shelter.    Shelters and rescues all over the country are full so I am very lucky to have been rescued. I am an all natural boy with a full tail.    Sometimes I like to chase it! I am friendly and playful.   I am an adolescent male who needs training and patience.    I need to go to a home with people who have current Doberman experience who have the time and patience to work with me. I cannot go into a home with little dogs or cats. If you are interested in me please go to www.doberescue-ne.orgAll of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted. We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes. Please Note:In most cases we require a fenced yard.We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Copyright © 2007 - Omaha Doberman RescueFor more information or to fill out an adoption request please visithttp://www.doberescue-ne.org/October 14, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
My name is Amos and I about 2-3 years old. I am a handsome all natural blue boy. I had a family once and I thought things were good but, apparently, they weren’t because one day I was just taken out and dumped in the middle of nowhere and left to fend for myself.  I did not understand why, It was a scary time but fortunately someone got me to a shelter and the kind people there took care of me and found a rescue who would take me.  They even drove me for many hours to get me to the rescue. I am not one to hold grudges, so I took the journey in stride and loved on all of my drivers all of the way to Nebraska.  I was just so grateful for the help! I am looking forward to my new family so let me tell you some things about myself. I am a blue with a decent coat.  Well, let me just say that I am handsome, ok?  I am!  I am a nice boy and like people.  I think that every dog I see is someone I should play with. I have not met any cats yet.  I was a model passenger in the car and did not try to tell people how to drive.  I don’t do too badly on a leash, either. I am neutered and vaccinated and ready to start over. If you want a handsome addition to your family, meet the adoption criteria, and are in the correct area shown on the rescue website (www.doberescue-ne.org), please fill out an application for me.  I am not famous like the cookie guy but the ladies sure do like me.All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked.
