Story
(DOB 05/01/2022) Aspen is a gorgeous 45-lb. mix of beauty and energy. She has a heart full of love and excitment! She's the perfect workout partner whether it's a long hike, a run around the neighborhood, or a good 'ole game of fetch, Aspen is always ready to go. And when the fun winds down, she’s just as happy to curl up on your lap (yes, she still thinks she’s lap-sized!) and steal a few kisses and cuddles. Her ideal home could be with a single active person, a couple, or a family with older dog-savvy children who can give her the exercise, structure, and affection she craves. (Aspen will skip a home with little ones, her personality & energy is just not the right fit.) Aspen is loyal and protective, especially with her people. She’s tends to be one who wants to be in charge of other dogs so proper introductions are the way to make new friends a polite and positive one! She is also, people-submissive at home. While she doesn’t resource guard with humans, she is fed separately in her crate because she can’t resist the urge to swipe tasty snacks...heck, we all do it once in awhile! She’s lived with small dogs before but would do best as an only dog or with other confident, similarly-sized pups. This girl is food-motivated, which makes her highly trainable and eager to please. She’s crate trained, house trained, and on a consistent schedule – up between 6–8 AM for breakfast and potty, and then back out in the evening for dinner, playtime, and bedtime in her cozy crate. Do you love training dogs and the whole unique bond that goes along with that??? Then BIG Bonus: Aspen comes with access to a transferable lifetime dog trainer! Just cover the transfer fee, and you'll have expert support to help her continue thriving in your care.  If you’re looking for a gorgeous-head-turning, smart, loving, active companion who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and love you fiercely – Aspen is your girl. Ready to meet your new best friend? As part of Aspen’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Aspen, you can complete an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2454034##

Story
It's a good thing she's got a long Dobie nose because Perla loves to give a good nose boop and will find you for a quick tap most times before running off to explore and spend time with friends. Perla is a gorgeous smaller statured Doberman Pincher who weighs about 49 lbs and is definitely a bit underweight. This lovely lady has clearly had a number of babies in her life but is still ready and waiting to be your baby. Perla is an independent gal who also can spend time with and share space with other dogs easily. She loves to run about the yards at the Farm but is quick to pop out from under a shady tree when called by a volunteer. She is well mannered no matter where she is an is just a pure lovely ambassador for her breed!

Story
Just like the warm and sweet spice, Cinnamon is a yummy girl that will add great flavor to your family dynamics. She is a Doberman mix with a rich mahogany, brown coat with unique markings and long lines. At around 52lbs, she is a young adult with legs that go on for days. Cinnamon can also provide healthy benefits as she’ll surely be up for walks, hikes and any outdoor activities where she can show off her stuff. She is a confident girl who is friendly with other dogs and ready to drop and play for fun. Lots of good things rolled up into a beautiful companion with this girl. Get your adoption request in ight away to meet her. *Weekend Host feedback: "Cinnamon, the sweetest chillest biggest lap dog you ever did see. Physical touch is absolutely one of her love languages as she wants to be touching you at all times. She did wonderfully in the house, had no issues sleeping in the crate, seems housebroken and does ok in the car. She and the cats tolerated each other. She is ok on the leash and does very well in public areas and will gently greet anyone who is interested in saying hello. She’s a sweet sweet girl who needs a forever home filled with love".

Story
Can we say gorgeous?? Then we should also say Penelope...a girl who not only stuns with her looks but is a lovely lady as well and any home would be surely lucky to have her. Penelope is a Doberman Pinscher adult who weighs about 54 lbs now and could use to add a few more. She is long, lean and lanky and combines blue Doberman coloring with a somewhat Weimaraner looks as well. Penelope has done well with other dogs and has a nice energy level, legs that are meant for walking and beauty that is meant for spoiling. She does well with other dogs and is a lady in her crate, always patient and always one to enjoy her time outside exploring and being a dog. Penelope is as lovely as her name would suggest. Do not miss out on meeting this stunner!
