Story
Dog’s Name: Lou DogGender: MaleCurrent Age: 1 yearCurrent Age Range: Young Adult (6 months to 1 year)Current Weight: 71 lbsExpected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs)Breed: Doberman MixEnergy Level: MediumDog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog.Cat Friendly: YesKids: Yes, any ageApartment Friendly: NoFence Requirements: Physical fence not requiredCrate Trained: Yes, but he barks in crate if you are home.Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home / Adopter: Lou Dog would love a home where he can be a part of the family. He loves to cuddle, play with dogs, be around kids, and just be involved in your day to day life. He doesn't bark at strangers coming into the home, but will sometimes use his voice outside as people pass by. Lou has been toddler tested, and he has the patience of a saint. If he isn't playing with toy, gnawing on a bone, or playing with friends, you can catch him snoozing on a rug or dog bed; but if youre on the couch, expect him to be right there resting his big noggin' on you! Lou dog is smart and easy to train. He doesn't require tons of mental stimulation to keep him happy, but he does catch on quickly. Lou knows his name, come, sit, stay, shake, leave it, "go" (used at the dinner table so he doesn't beg) and he also knows "wait" and "go ahead" when it comes time for breakfast and dinner. Lou is a great hiking partner and matches your pace, he's not interested in marking so it makes it easy to take him to high populated areas! He does bark at other dogs walking but knows "leave it" and will redirect when asked. Ideally, Lou would go to a home where he has kids or another dog, but he could be just as happy with someone who is working hybrid, or can take him to work! He doesnt have separation anxiety, he just really enjoys being involved. He is crated or gated in an area of the home when we are gone without issue, but he will bark in his crate if you are home. He has free roam of the home while we sleep, and has been a perfect guest. Likes: Resting his head on you, treats/food, dogs, kids/babies, squeaky toys, any kind of bone he can chew, Using his paw to shake!Dislikes: None! All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. Story
Meet Whiskey – A Spirited Girl Looking for a Fresh Pour on Life!Dumped by her original owner, 2 1/2 year old Whiskey found herself at the pound, confused but still full of love. She was adopted into a home with another dog who seemed to be her long-lost sibling. The plan? BFFs forever. The reality? These two were a full-blown case of littermate syndrome – fence-hopping, chaos-causing, and giving the neighborhood something to gossip about. Now back at the pound, Whiskey is hoping for a fresh start. She’d do best in a home where she can receive structure, affection, and maybe even be the only pup (or carefully matched with the right dog friend). She’s loyal, energetic, and still believes in second chances. If you're looking for a sweet girl with a bold name and a big heart, pour yourself a little Whiskey – the kind that makes your life better, not wilder.
