Story
Nikko was handed down to me by his original owner who could no longer care for him. Had him for several months but unfortunately I can no longer give him the attention he needs due to busy work schedule. He's a very sweet and friendly dog. Very well potty trained and knows not to go inside the house. Can be stubborn at times but always very playful. He gets along with other dogs no problem. He's also great with kids! Loves to play and has never hurt another pet or person. Most dobermans have a reputation for being territorial and aggressive but he is not like any other doberman, everyone says the same thing when they meet him. I want him to find a home where he can get the most attention, love and care that he deserves. 8 years of age.

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Coming Soon – Meet Mint! 💚 Mint is newer to our rescue, and here’s what we know so far! This handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Doberman Pinscher mix came into our care very emaciated. Thankfully, with proper nutrition and lots of love, he’s already gaining weight and starting to thrive. Mint is currently in a foster home with two little boys and is doing well with them. He enjoys playing with and lounging alongside the resident dog, but his absolute favorite pastime is unstuffing a stuffed animal — consider your plush toys warned! Once Mint gets to know you, he is a total love bug who just wants to be close to his people. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to help Mint blossom! 🐾 If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit. Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. After May 1st the cost of your first session will be a discounted rate of $100. Story
Hastiin-came in with her sonDoli is a 2-year old blue girl that has already overcome more than any dog ever should. When Doberman Underground rescued her from a shelter, she was in very rough shape—starved, weak, and covered in painful Demodex mange that had swollen her eyes shut and left her skin raw and inflamed. On top of that, she tested positive for heartworm. Her tiny, exhausted frame carried the weight of so much suffering. But through it all, Doli never gave up.  Today, thanks to months of nourishing food, gentle care, antibiotics, and the healing power of love, Doli is fully recovered and ready to start the next chapter of her life—with a family who sees her for the strong, beautiful soul she is. Doli is a classic “velcro" Doberman. The moment you reach out to pet her, no matter how busy or curious she is, she completely melts into your touch. She’s sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond with her people. She's great with dogs of all sizes and needs a playful canine companion in her adoptive home.  No cats and Doberman experience are needed to adopt her. She loves to stay active, but she also has a sensitive side and can be fearful in new situations, so young children would not be a good fit for her.  Because of her history on the run, a physically fenced yard is a must to help her feel safe and secure as she continues to thrive. Now that she’s been given a second chance, Doli is eager to learn, eager to love, and more than ready to find a forever family with Doberman experience so she can live her best life. Apply today to make Doli’s next chapter the best one yet.  www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of surrounding states.  Check the list of specific counties we adopt to at the top of our application before applying.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 30, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
HW+, wicked duo Elphaba is an 8-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as her story. This lovely girl was saved from euthanasia after arriving at a shelter heartworm positive when the shelter did not have the resources for her treatment. Thanks to rescue and dedicated care, Elphaba has completed her heartworm treatment and is now looking forward to a safe, loving forever home where she can truly relax and thrive. Elphaba is the definition of calm and gentle. She is generally quiet and content just being near her people. However, when she needs something important—like a potty break or mealtime—she will let you know with the most adorable little noises and her signature smile that is impossible to resist. She would do best in a relaxed household where she can enjoy companionship, either from someone who is home often or with another calm, easygoing dog. While she hasn’t shown interest in active play with the resident dog in her foster home, she does enjoy running alongside her foster sister outside and would enjoy having a canine friend to lounge and cuddle with. Because she recently completed heartworm treatment, her activity is temporarily limited while she continues healing. She'll soon be fully recovered, and she would enjoy having space to safely stretch her legs and explore. She tends to stay close to her humans and does not react to passing dogs or people. While she may not require a fenced yard, she has not yet been tested without one. Elphaba is truly a people lover. She welcomes visitors warmly, shows no reactivity. She is polite in the home, does not get on furniture, and is happiest cuddled up beside you—often choosing to rest on your feet or lean gently against your legs. She walks beautifully on leash and enjoys calm strolls. She has shown polite curiosity when meeting other dogs, enjoying a good sniff introduction before settling into a calm coexistence. She has shown no interest in cats when hearing them at the vet, though she has not lived with them directly. Elphaba rides in the car with a little hesitation at first but settles in for the trip. This smart girl already knows basic commands like sit and place, and she learns new things quickly. More than anything, Elphaba is simply looking for someone to love and stay close to—your quiet, loyal companion who will always be by your side. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, and devoted Doberman to share your home and heart, Elphaba may be your perfect match. Elphaba is available to adopters of all ages.  She is eligible for our Seniors Owning Seniors (SOS) for adopters 70+ with prior Doberman ownership experience.  Visit our website for more information. Apply to adopt Elphaba through Doberman Underground Rescue and give this deserving girl the happy ending she’s been waiting for.  www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in areas of surrounding states.  Check our online application for a full list of the states and specific counties we adopt to before applying.           * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 8:43 pm

Story
HW+, wicked duo, grade 2 heart murmur Glinda is a beautiful 8-year-old Doberman girl was rescued from euthanasia after arriving at a shelter heartworm positive, when the shelter did not have the resources to provide the treatment she desperately needed. Thanks to Doberman Underground Rescue and the dedicated care she received, Glinda has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life — finding a safe, loving forever home where she can truly relax and thrive. When Glinda first arrived in foster care, her shyness and uncertainty were evident. It took her several days to come out of her shell, but even then, you could see in her eyes that she wanted to trust — she just needed time. Once she feels safe, Glinda’s affectionate and loyal personality shines. She happily comes when called, often with her little nub wagging with excitement. She loves being close to her people and will lay next to you on the couch with her head resting gently on your hand or her nose touching you. If you are standing, she is just as content lying or sitting at your feet to stay connected. Ear scratches, neck rubs, and tummy rubs are some of her absolute favorite things. Glinda enjoys spending time outdoors and is always ready to go outside, no matter the weather — snow and cold included! Because she is still regaining strength after heartworm treatment, her activity level is currently limited, but she is doing very well with calmer enrichment activities such as chewing on bones, working on pupsicles, and enjoying mind games inside the home. She enjoys leash walks for potty breaks and sniffing adventures and would likely enjoy longer walks as she continues to rebuild stamina. Glinda would thrive in a home that offers a nice balance between relaxed companionship and outdoor activity. A homebody who also enjoys daily leash walks and safe backyard time would be ideal. She will require a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. She shows great interest in neighboring dogs and enjoys fence-line interaction, though she can get excited and eager to chase during play. She is also extremely interested in the scent of a neighbor’s cat shelter, so a cat-free home will be required. Glinda has done well living with the large, male resident Doberman in her foster home. They have settled comfortably together. They stand next to each other, touch noses calmly, and coexist peacefully. Small dogs are not a match.  The resident dog has offered play invitations, which Glinda has shown interest in, but play has been limited due to her heartworm recovery. Glinda can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up nicely with patience, treats, and gentle affection. Once she feels comfortable, her loving and devoted nature becomes clear. Glinda has overcome so much and is ready to share her heart with a family willing to give her the patience, love, and security she deserves. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay by your side, Glinda may be your perfect match. Glinda is available to adopters of all ages.  She is eligible for our Seniors Owning Seniors (SOS) for adopters 70+ with prior Doberman ownership experience.  Visit our website for more information. Story
Meet Moxie, a beautiful 8 month old red girl. Moxie was found as a stray with a severely injured leg. The shelter that took her in did not have the resources to provide the level of medical care she needed, and that’s when they asked Doberman Underground to step in and save her. Despite every effort to repair the damage, her leg could not be saved and amputation was the only option. Moxie has healed incredibly well and now she has no activity restrictions. She runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other young Doberman. Being a tripod has not slowed her down in the slightest. She is a typical 8-month-old Doberman puppy—playful, busy, intelligent, curious, affectionate, and at times a little mischievous. She does have a high prey drive and will require a home with a physically fenced yard where she can safely run and burn off energy. Because of her prey drive, she cannot live with cats or small dogs under 30 pounds. She would do very well with a confident, playful larger canine companion who can match her energy and enjoy active play. As with any young Doberman, Moxie will need training, structure, and consistency. She is still very much a puppy and will thrive with an experienced Doberman owner who understands the importance of leadership, boundaries, and both physical and mental stimulation. With proper guidance, she has all the potential to grow into an exceptional adult companion. Moxie is friendly, loving, and incredibly resilient. She does not see herself as limited in any way, and she is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her spirit, intelligence, and zest for life.
